Free Music Review: What a long way...
Hit: 5 Stars

Reading only the most recent reviews, I am depressed that the dedicated hard rock followers of Leppard cannot appreciate the track "Long Long Way to Go". I am not sure where to begin, but for starters, I think it is one of those few songs with a depth and maturity that everyone says is lacking in every aspect of our glitzy-pop American lifestyles today. Here it is, in your face, and you don't adrenalize it.
Secondly, these lyrics are so powerful, I cannot imagine anyone not holding back a tear, the first time, if they actually listen to what the lyrics are saying. I think if you don't like this song, then you either don't have a heart, or you have never been in a mature relationship (sad for those over age of 20).
This song came out breifly before my break-up with the most wonderful woman I had ever dated, but who also had the most baggage ever. I finally felt I had to let the relationship go as my American tolerance for adversity is just so low. But I bought her a copy of the album with a note about track 5. I know we were both crying listening to the darn thing and eventually it even inspired us to try again.
Few songs can bring that kind of power to life. So if you didn't get it (like a lot of people didn't get Matrix 2), then it just passed you by. Maybe give it a second chance...and may true love bless your life.

Free Music Review: Def Leppard's softer side
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is pretty good. It's Def Leppard's softer side. Every hardrock/hair metal band has a soft side. For example, Van Halen is a hard rock band. Yet, they have soft songs like: When It's Love, Love Walks In, Etc. Every band out there has a soft side. I believe that this is a great effort to a soft side by Def Leppard. Photograph was a soft song in a way. Yet everyone loves that.

My favorite songs on this album are:
Unbelieveable- This song deserves this title. The lyrics are so strong, and you can see the art in this song.
You're So Beautiful- This song also deserves a 5. It has a perfect chorus and eveything. Very sexy.
Long Long Way Home- Great acoustic song. Reminds me of Steven Curtis Chapman.
Everyday- Extremely goood song. One of favorites
Four Letter Word- Terrific Song
Love Don't Lie- Love sure doesn't lie.
Gravity- You can def feel the Gravity. That's how hard the emotions are
Now- Great Song

On Def Leppard's "Rock Of Ages" cd, it has a new song "No Matter What" it's originally by Badfinger. It's a terrific cover. It's a very attractive song.

Overall, I think Def Leppard did a terrific job on this. This is a great acoustic/rock album. It's very soft. Every rock band has a soft side.

Give it a try. You will be astounded. Amazing vocals.

Free Music Review: THE BEST ROCK ALBUM SINCE HYSTERIA!
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all, I've been a fan of the Leps for quite some time and have their entire catalog. Hysteria, the 16-million selling '87 album that rocketed the band into superstardom has always been my favorite, although I am an avid listener of Adrenalize, Euphoria, and of course, Pyromania. However, as soon as I put this CD in the player and heard the first few notes of "Now," I knew that Def Leppard was back in true form. It doesn't sound behind the times, but it still retains the classic Leppard sound. Every song is a catchy gem, instantly radio-friendly. This is their first album in a decade of extremely well-written, well-produced, and amazing songs. I know it's not 1987, but I have high hopes (as do Def Leppard I'm sure) that this album reignites the magic (and sales) that Hysteria had. The obvious hits are... hmm... it seems all of them have hit potential! "Now," the first single, is a great new modern sounding track that brings Def Leppard into 2002, and "Long Long Way To Go" is the most heartfelt and strong ballad I've ever heard, from any artist. X is the first GREAT album of 2002. Unfortunately its release has been shadowed by Bruce Springsteen's The Rising (released the same day, also a great CD by the way), but I have a feeling the band will find their way back to #1 with this superb release.

Free Music Review: Never have and never will lose their touch
Hit: 5 Stars

Ok, I own every Def Leppard album out there and know every song and drumbeat. This album by far has to be tied as my favorite with Pyromania and Hysteria. While Pyromania and Hysteria capture the hard rock, "kick some ... and party" aspect of Def Lep, X captures a more relaxed side of Def Leppard while still maintaining their reputation as one of the best rock bands to ever walk onto a stage.
This album does not boast some of the hard rock tracks from the past such as "Let it Rock", "High and Dry", "Rock Rock Till You Drop", and "Armageddon It", however we do hear some great ballads and a style similar to 1999's Euphoria. While the style has become less hard rock, Def Lep really makes this album work! The songs are not cheesy, but rather have meaning in the lyrics and feeling through the melodies. I have heard many bands attempt to travel the same path and fail miserably.
Def Lep is to be commended on this album as well as all their others before. From the accident which cost Rick his arm, to the death of Steve Clark, Def Lep has remained stong and has never abandoned their audience in places where most other bands would have. They continue in 2003 to produce musical masterpieces such as "long long way to go", "unbelievable", and "Now" in X. If you have not already bought this album, you are really missing out!

Hit: 5 Stars

I have anticipated the release of this for a very long time.
And it was well worth the wait!!!!!!!

I love the direction the Leps are headed. This is more mainstream than others but has the potential to compete with anything on the market today.
Even people who never listened to them before are popping up everywhere and can relate to it.
I love the fact that Joe is "singing" instead of screeching. Not that I don't love his ohs and ahas.....but this time his voice flows more.. the harmonies are back. I listen to this album all day. I love "four letter word"....."scar".....now.....i love em all......
I appreciate the hard work they do to put out good music and not generate the same pathetic [stuff] year after year till they disappear.....but def takes the time to put out music for the fans...new...young...and older.....they don't fall prey to the idea that to stay on top or popular, you must throw together something quickly and repeatedly.

Def may be changing their sound...but they're still around..filling the stadiums and i for one will continue to listen to everything they put out and will be vying for those front row seats at the next concert!!!

Thanks guys for coming through again....

Your true "fans" appreciate it and now....get busy and start the tour already......
