Free Music Review: Classic Def Leppard
Hit: 5 Stars

It's probably not going to be a chart topper or an award-winner, but who the hell cares, it's great Def Leppard. Their still not a screaming heavy metal band, they haven't sold out and gone pop/rock like Creed, just the first idea off the top of my head, and their music is still meaningful and everything their fans want their music to be: good melodies, great rhythms, great grooves, Joe has one of the best voices, after all these years, he's still one of the best, "The Thunder God's" drums are deep and driving, but not ear-pounding and the strings are just pure rock 'n' roll. It's the kind of music Def leppard has always made. And it shouldn't mean that they can't stack up next to these so called rock bands we can hear on the radio today. So review this for what it is, not what it isn't. It's not bubblegum popish stuff, it's still Def Leppard, they just sound different from all of the other pseduo-rock bands in our faces in 2003. Now I know everyone is into this trendy so-called rock 'n' roll, but hey, this is classic rock 'n' roll, the way it's supposed to be. If you like just plain rock 'n' roll or if you're a fan of this band, X is a great Def Leppard album. This is an excellent album in the succession of their previous nine and does not miss the "Def Leppard mark."

Free Music Review: Leppard returns with X
Hit: 5 Stars

After their Succesful 1999 Smash "Euphoria" which happens to be my favorite album in their Catalog of Classics,Joe Elliott and the boys return with a Brand New Album-"X". The album starts off with the lead single "Now".While not as hard hitting as their first track off Euphoria,"Now" delivers a good pop rock song that will have u rocking out for sure. The only problem i have with the album is the Track listing.I think they placed the songs in the wrong places. If they had started off with "Four Letter Word" as the opener and lead single i believe this album could have been another Euphoria. It just takes a little to get into the rockers. "Unbelievable" is a awesome ballad and "Youre So Beautiful" is a great song! "Everyday" is another decent ballad as is the next ballad "Long Long Way To Go" which was a single and should be because its an amazing one! Then we get to "Four Letter Word",my favorite song off the Album "Torn to Shreds","Cry" which could have been on Slang it rocks hard,"A Girl Like You" another good catchy song "Let Me Be the One" another great ballad and "Scar" something that would have fit perfectly on the High and Dry record. All in all X is not Hysteria nor Pyromania but it is a damn good album from one of Rock's best loved bands.

Free Music Review: X and xXx are the two great things that were released in '02
Hit: 5 Stars

I STILL DONNO WHY YALL COMPLAININ ABT X. Must be because fer a long time a classic def lepp hasnt come along. I LOVE THIS CD. Im a hardcore rock fan too. But I observed, through my research into fan databases, that most rock 'fans' are what they r due to peer pressure. I REPEAT. I SAID MOST OF EM. NOT ALL! So, Why shun this album an say its for the garbage bin huh? Its better than Britney's WEAK attempt to convert to rock thru "I Want Rock N Roll". All she'll get is my sympathy.:-) Anywayz, X has a line up of Straight OUT GOOD SONGS.

NOW: Its ok but as it was the first video, it is one of the best.
LONG LONG WAY TO GO: AN ULTRA COOL AND SLOW BALLAD that is jus not gettin the recognition it deserves.
UNBELEIVABLE: Another feather in this huge cap.
YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL:IT'll make u stand up an sing along whatever mood u may be in.STATUTORY WARNING: MAY LEAD TO ADDICTION.
And so on with songs like gravity which has a groove not a beat. PERFECT FER DANCIN TOO. TORN TO SHREDS, SCAR, LET ME BE THE ONE, an KISS THE DAY IS MARVELLOUS but its on the Japan release. UNFORTUNATELY. A necessity fer a def lepp fan. A future COLLECTORS ITEM FER SURE. Maybe one day in the future, an antique X cd will be auctioned fer 1000000 $...

Free Music Review: A Slightly Different Def Leppard-But Still Excellent!
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a fan of Def Leppard for a long time even though I am only 17. I've been following their music for 6 years. They seem to have been absent from the fore-front, but the recently they re-entered the scene with X-the bands 10th album. I only got my hands on "X" a few weeks ago when my friend sold it to me for [cheap] cuz he said it was terrible. Normally I trust his opinion, but he was totaly wrong about X. I love this cd even though I am a fan of heavy metal. Def Leppard has been making this Heavy Pop or Pop/Metal thing work for about 20 years now. They make pop music apeal to a heavier audience. I would have never been open to this if it wasn't Def Leppard. They make me like music that I usual hate. I wish people would stop saying that Def Leppard-Among many other bands have sold out because they made a more comercially appealing album. Alot of people listen to an album and look at it and compare it to other work by that artist or something like that. I take an album for what it is in itself. And the truth is: X is great!

Best Tracks:
Unbeleivable, Scar, Torn to Shreds...
There are too many excellent tunes here to name.

If you like music, you should love this album. BUT IT. You know you want to!

Free Music Review: Wow!
Hit: 5 Stars

Def Leppard's best since Hysteria. Radio friendly, if they play it. Then again they play Bon Jovi meaning they'll play anything. Long, Long, Way to Go is better than Love Bites. Scar is reminicent of Hysteria only darker. Cry, Four Letter Word and Torn to Shreds are refreshing. Gravity is Sugar for 2002. Love Don't lie has a hook you can't get out of your head, as does You're so Beautiful. In a world where most albums have one or two good songs, we can always count on Leppard to put out an album with one or two great ones and about six other good ones we wouldn't mind listening to for the next 20 years. Stand up and take notice folks, Leppard is about to reclaim their thrown which was stolen by the mass of copy cat bands in the 80's (Jovi, Poison, Ratt and everyone else who has tried). Leppard began a new era of rock, the rest were copycats. All hail to the God Fathers of Melodic Rock. Everyone else is second fiddle (If you think Bon Jovi was here before Leppard, you got suckered in by the morons that are Bon Jovi Fans who continually lie about this issue). The 50's were Elvis, 60's the Stones, 70's Aerosmith, 80's Leppard, and 90's Nirvana. All the rest are just a facimily of the real deal.
