A fairly decent album in my opinion. Lovato doesn't have a voice that's out of this world but it's decent, however it's the control she has over her voice that makes her stand out. She knows she has limitations but in the album she cleverly hides them by playing to her other strengths; such as in Don't Forget, the album's best track, the soft start goes smoothly with the thin vocal range she displays and then the sudden change in pace created by her guitar, creates enough distraction to overshadow her poor range. The end result however is still a decent song. She performs similarly throughout the rest of her album so at times the album borders on boring. What hurts her album the most is that she can't seem to deliver the same emotion in the studio as she does on stage that results with a lot of the songs being second hand versions to ones she performs live. Overall i give the album a 2.5/3 out of 5 for her effort and voice control, the lyrics aren't bad but they are too whiny at times. If Lovato would stop trying to be Disney's good girl and come out with her original material that wouldn't be fit for a disney album then she could be facing a long successfull in the music industry.Free Music Review: Demi Lovato

It is good for a first effort. I believe she would be more hard rock driving if not so attached to Disney. It is nice to know she writes the songs she sings. She has a great vocal range. I'll give her a chance on her next CD too.Free Music Review: not worth the hype

This cd is'nt what its cracked up to be.
i thought this cd would be as amazing as the Jonas Brothers newest album, since Demi has written most of her songs with them. Demi kept saying her songs "are more rock" than what most people think. umm, NONE OF THE NEW SONGS ARE ROCK SONGS!
honestly, i thought only 2 songs on the whole album were good enough to play on the radio
her Camp Rock songs are better, and she didnt even write them.
im very disappointed. this IS her first album, so hopefully her next will be better.
