Free Music Notes for Desperado: The SoundtrackFree Music Review: Perfect Compliment to a Fun Movie! Hit: 5 StarsThis soundtrack has a great latin rock feel and brings out a lot of brilliant musicians who don't always get the attention they deserve. Many of the songs have a raw performance feel to them which I believe enhances the "dirty" rock and roll texture of the album. I particularly enjoyed the dialogue samples from the movie played in-between many of the tracks. A nice touch in my opinion.
Free Music Review: Explosive mix of ultra-cool music! Hit: 5 StarsRobert Rodriguez's sequel to his films debut, "El Mariachi" may not have been as acclaimed by the critics but I liked it just as much. He enhanced his indie film with a big cast, great action sequences, witty dialogue, and a very cool soundtrack. This CD compliments the movie in a perfect way. Even better than the "Pulp Fiction" soundtrack. The songs all have a tex-mex flavor and the dialogue included is of great choice. It is great to listen to at any time but it is exceptionally good for an afternoon drive. The mix of songs is fabulous. "Six Blade Knife" by Dire Straits is a very welcome song. "Bella" from Carlos Santana has some of his smoothest guitar solos I have ever heard out of him. The score from Los Lobos is really good too. If you haven't seen this film you really do not know what your missing. The soundtrack is equally as good too. Do not miss either of them.
Free Music Review: Utterly cool Hit: 5 StarsThis is one awesome soundtrack with all the cool songs from the movie. Unlike many other soundtracks this is one that you will play over and over again. All the songs on this CD are great and if you don't agree I guess you are one of those poor unfortunate people who just can't appreciate good music when you hear it. If you however did like this CD and want more I would recommend everything by Dire Straits. No matter which of their albums you choose you know you're in for top quality music. Comments? Free Music Review: This is with out any question one of the best sountracks Hit: 5 StarsWhen I saw the previews for the movie I wasn't too impressed but, then I rented it a year later, and from start to finish I loved it. Six-Blade-Knife was an excellent choice the opening scene. It fit flawlessly. Through the rest of the movie I knew I had to get the soundtrack. The whole thing works together well. It's a fairly long soundtrack, which is good. Rather than a stadard 40min cd you get about 70min worth of music. For me listening to just part of it is no good.If I listen to one song I have to listen all the way to the end, just to give you an idea of how much I like this cd. I was suprised when I found out Antonio Bandares accually sung and sung good. Slama Hayak has a very beautiful voice. I don't really understand what it is she's singing because, I don't know spanish. However the song has a wonderfuly romantic sound to it, and that is all tbat is needed. The only thing I would have to say that would have made the purchase better was, if it had lyrics to the songs. That's just a personal preference really but, with the spanish songs I would have appreciated it. This is one of the best cd's I own. If you love good music. Get this one.
Free Music Review: Six blade knife, it's the biggest track here........ Hit: 3 StarsJust want to say that six blade knife is the best here. The others are boring, i mean espan?l songs. Nothing for me. The movie is ..hmm well i'm gonna see it about a week. and listen after the song.... i'm not a fan about antoino banderas bu well, the movie....must be a little good, atleast. So my opinion is to bye the original albums instead..... so goodbye, from a D.S fan.
