Free Music Review: Excellent addition to a DC collection

I just got this CD for Christmas and I am NOT disappointed at all!! I love this CD and I absoutely love Stand Up For Love. It's an excellent song and this CD is an excellent addition to a Destiny's Child collection. This, This is the Remix, and 8 Days of Christmas are must-haves if you want to have a good collection. Obviously, you'll need Destiny's Child, The Writings on the Wall, Survivor, and Destiny Fulfilled as well, but that's another story. #1's is an accurate title and a great CD.Free Music Review: #1's is a very accurate title

I've been looking forward to DC's greatest hits album ever since I learned that they were splitting up, its release being a faint silver lining to the most ominous of clouds in my short life. (Yes, I'm exaggerating, you can stop dialing psychiatric help now.) Anyway, although this CD is small consolation for the disbanding of my all-time favorite group, it is one heck of a farewell, paying homage to the legacy of the Supremes of our generation. This disc includes old favorites like No No No Part II, Bills Bills Bills, and Bug A Boo; the songs released after the first member change, Jumpin' Jumpin' and Say My Name; and finally, every hit recorded with the current (and, in my humble opinion, best) member line-up, including Survivor, Soldier, and Lose My Breath. And let's not forget the three brand-new songs: Stand Up for Love, the 2005 Children's Day anthem that made me cry; Check On It, a solo song by Beyonce, which features Slim Thug (who, incidentally, previously dated former DC member LeToya Luckett); and finally, the amazing closer for this CD, Feel the Same Way I Do, a sexy tune somewhere between a mid-tempo and a ballad.
Now, don't get me wrong here: this album is awesome, but I wouldn't recommend this disc as a first-time purchase of DC music. Before bying this, I would advise trying one of their actual albums first, because some of their songs never played on the radio have a very different sound than their polished, commercial hits. Whichever path you take, though, you will be certain to find the beautiful vocals, gorgeous harmonies, and clever lyrics that have made these ladies top the charts time and time again. Goodbye DC!

I still like most of Destiny's Child's songs even though they
disengrated in September after a farewell concert in Vancover
that month! My favorite songs are Bills, Bills, Bills, Jumpin,
Jumpin, Confessions, Temptation and Stay! So Destiny's Child,
y'all will continue to be the greatest girl group even though y-
a'll are no longer together!! I'll Miss Y'all!!!
Free Music Review: A trip down memory lane!

Well, no one would have guessed that Destiny's Child would have a greatest hits album with 14 standard hits (even though not all of them are #1 singles) but if you look back over their career, one can see why they are still here today! I love this album, because it simply takes me back to the early days of Destiny's Child when there was Beyonce', Kelly, LaTavia, and LeToya ("No, No, No") but also showcases recent hits such as "Lose My Breath" and "Soldier". I am really sad to see, Destiny's Child as a whole split up, but I think with them releasing solo efforts in the near future, it is no question that we will keep recieving the greatness of Destiny's Child separately! Free Music Review: Farewell, ladies! I'm gonna miss you!

I was saddened when I learned that Destiny's Child is breaking up. Beyonce is a lady who treats Michelle and Kelly with the utmost respect; all girls should aspire to be like her. This hits collection is amazing, and each and every one of these songs is a classic. Goodbye, ladies. I'll miss you! Quit while you're ahead!
