I hope my review can be of help to many of those out there that are continously searching for the right relaxation music. I know how hard it is to choose from a list so big and have to trust the reviews from others to make a secrure purchace. The one thing I can tell you for sure about this CD is that it's mellow, unobtrusive and extremely relaxing. It is music that you don't have to think about - it simply does its job in the background allowing for you to naturally relax. It is like one 63 minute long song that continously provides a soothing and graceful atmosphere. For those that can possibly find a problem with its simplicity, they've got to be crazy! There is a small part of the cd that contains a rainstorm which I feel is totally cleansing and purifying. It does not get louder during this part, it is extrememly geltle. The entire CD resonates with me so well that I feel transformed by the end. It is balanced eqaully. It is one experience to play it during a massage and witness such incredible healing take place and it is another experience to play it to meditate to. It serves very well in various ways. I love this cd so much that I contacted the musician himself to inquire about future volumes of Detaching the World and to compliment him. Let me tell you, if you talk to this guy you'll find yet another deep and profound respect for his music beyond what you allready found out by just listening to the music. He is so dedicated and compassionate. I can't wait for his upcoming release of Vol. 2. One last thing... as a massage therapist, the hands on work is the most important part of the session. For anyone using the music as the more important part of the work, something is wrong. Thats why this cd is great - because it serves well being mellow and unobtrusive in the background allowing for me as the therapist to do the real work. It sets the atmosphere not too much or too little. Detaching the World is PERFECT - I love it! (and so do my clients). By the way, the musician made this cd with the help of a massage therapist. In the years that I have provided my service as a massage therapist, its been a struggle for me to find the right music. Most of the massage and relaxation music out there doesn't seem to provide the right degree of connectedness for my deep tissue work. Just about all of it sits on the shelves of my office.Then my own massage therapist gave me a CD called Detaching The World Vol. 1 as a gift. I remember thinking "great, another CD for massage that I won't use." After a few years of buying massage music that doesn't work, it's hard to really believe that there is good music out there. As soon as I played Detaching The World, I was hooked! I was so amazed at the difference of atmosphere this CD provides! Immediatly I started to use it for massage sessions. It relaxes my clients and helps me be more focused on the bodywork I give.
The music on this CD seems to follow a gentle theme that gets deeper and deeper the further you go with your massage. It's beautifully unlike anything I've ever heard. My favorite song is Tranquil Sunrise. By the end of the first song my hands are completely connected with my clients. Just recently this CD became such a popular request that I bought some at wholesale and can't seem to keep it stocked. It's wonderful that artists like Mr. Gagliardi are so devoted to providing the perfect atmospheric tools for massage. I recommend it to all therapists and clients.
Free Music Review: Excellent for Pilates and Yoga!

This is the best music I have found for teaching my Pilates classes.
Originally introduced to Detaching The World from yoga class, I recently found Volume 1 to be a perfect accompaniment for my Pilates class as well. It's a full hour of ambient guitar that aides in the focus on breathing while being both relaxing and energizing at the same time. The music works great as background music with no vocals to distract class participants or individuals from the task at hand. This musician (I think it's just one guy) has constructed a unique orchestrated style of guitar playing that creates these lush sounds (or waves) of guitar notes. Because breathing is so essential in Pilates, the "guitar waves" flow extremely well with the breath. It's relieving to finally have music that helps relax the muscles and avoid unnecessary tension. Also my class keeps giving me exceptionally positive comments toward this CD. It seems to be their favorite.
I especially like the song "the valley beyond," with the gentle falling rain and guitar in the background. So relaxing yet intoxicating.
Also, my massage therapist is getting this CD as gift from me. She seriously needs some new music and I think this would be perfect for our next massage appointment.

Free Music Review: ***PERFECT FOR MASSAGE - BEAUTIFULLY RELAXING***

I originally discovered the music of Detaching the World at the Canyon Ranch in Tucson. After having one of the most cleansing deep tissue massages ever, I fell in love with the music of Vol. 4 and started to incorporate it into my massage practice. Needless to say, the music has been a success with myself and my clients ever since.
I was recently given Detaching the World Vol. 1 as a present by one of my regulars who happens to also love this music. I couldn't believe what I had been missing!!! I just started using it on a few clients and already people are melting away with the beautiful touch of this music. Everything about this CD is perfect for massage:
- The length (60+ mins, most of my clients are an hour long)
- The flow (a slow yet even match with my hands)
- The volume (the consistency remains throughout the disk)
- The sound (beautiful layered textures of music, apparently guitar)
- The quality (100%)
- The happiness from my clients (they look refreshed and comment positively to the music)
- My happiness as a therapist with this music (100%)
For me, this CD is a gold mine compared to my other relaxation CDs. Like Vol. 4, Vol. 1 is a keeper and will not leave you or your clients disappointed. Don't pass this one up!
Free Music Review: Perfect Atmosphere

When I use this music for a massage session, I am able to be exactly in the moment. My thoughts go away, my healing intentions grow deeper and I am totally present. I feel things change in my hands - muscles melt, layers of tension disappear and I am connected to my client with so much love. Time escapes and nothing else matters because the atmosphere is so full of peace. After the session, even after the music has stopped, I can still hear it playing. I feel like it purifies me. This CD is true art made with a lot of love. I highly recomend this CD to all that want to find peace of mind. I've used it for not only massage sessions but even to exercise to and as background music as I paint. It's a must have CD for all!!!
