Free Music Notes for The Dethalbum (Deluxe Edition) (2CD)

Free Music Review: Greatest Metal for something that was fictional intill recently...LOL
Hit: 5 Stars

First off i would like to say that Yes the deluxe edition was impossible to find. I purchased it at a Best Buy and the guy that i made go back to the stock to find one was horrible. They had about 45 regular versions and it showed they had 2 of the deluxe. Needless to say the employee was not happy with me making him playing fetch.
Now as other people did complain about the 2 cd's could have been just one is totally correct. After finding out how rare this version was i decided to save to my computer and make me a burned copy. And hence both cd's do fit on one. Now the reason why it was 2 cd's was because of the bonus feature at the time. The second disc included the first episode from season two which was not relaeased yet. So fans got a taste of season 2.
As for the music well...Really all i have to say is this. I prefer this album to most bands as of late. To think a "cartoon" does better music than most bands out today. Thank you Brendon Small for making true METAL.

Free Music Review: Best Album In Quite Some Time
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is simply outstanding. I am not a serious metal fan, by any stretch (I don't dislike it, I just have to be in a very particular mood for it), but the Dethalbum blows my mind. Musically, Brendan Small is on par with many of the best, and he demonstrates his proficiency quite clearly time and again on this album. The songs are well-crafted, and the lyrics, while at times a parody of some of the more ridiculous metal out there, are actually quite good. This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long, long time, and I can't wait to hear what they come up with in future seasons.

To those of you pissed off at Amazon for not sending you a copy of the deluxe edition, or shafting you out of your pre-order, stop rating down the album because of Amazon's mistake. If you don't like the album, give it a bad rating, but if you're just mad at Amazon, do something constructive about it - write them an email, whatever, but your anger doesn't justify negative ratings for the album.

Free Music Review: Making metal
Hit: 5 Stars

Well I pre-ordered this Deluxe Version of the CD some weeks before the actual release date and I got it! Well not it's unavailable...seems like Amazon is cheating you guys out. What's up with that? Was there only one copy and I happened to get it? Lame! Such a shame because this deluxe edition is amazing and gives you extra Dethklok songs and video stuff. But I don't think you guys should be rating the album so low because them the rating will look bad and make it seem like the Deluxe Edition isn't worth it! It's definitely worth it guys! Just wait it out, get it somewhere else or something.

A note here, the music on here sounds much more brutal than what you hear in the show. The guitar sounds much clearer and those drums are killer thanks to Gene Holgan! Music sounds much better than what you hear on the shows! You won't regret a thing once you get this! Extremely recommended for the fans who love Metalocalypse as well as fans of the music Dethklok delivers.

Free Music Review: Worth the Trouble
Hit: 5 Stars

I was rather disappointed when Amazon informed me that they couldn't get me a copy, and even more upset when I discovered that no online stores seemed to have the deluxe edition in stock. Yesterday my girlfriend found the deluxe edition on the shelf at Hot Topic, and I've heard from others that stores have copies on their shelves, so I'm rather confused as to why nobody has it available online.

As for the album itself, it was definitely worth the trouble. I've been incredibly disappointed with metal albums for the last few years, but this one is incredible. It's rather sad that Brendon Small can throw something together that blows the "serious" metal bands out of the water.

My favorite track has got to be Kill You off of the bonus disc. I'd love for Pickel's to do his own solo album :)

In short the album is brutal and I highly recommend it. Hopefully Dethklok will be around for a long time.

Free Music Review: One of the best metal albums I've ever heard
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is simply amazing. I just got finished with listening to it all the way through, and it exceeded my expectations. Being a fan of Metalocalyse, I knew that the songs would be good, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only did they include all the songs from the series in their full forms, but about half of the songs on the album were totally new. I can't believe that 1 guy did all the vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards. And he does all the voices of the band mates in the series too. It's defiantly worth the extra $$$ for the deluxe edition, because they packed the second cd with a bunch of extra songs, an all new music video, the first episode of season 2, and a hilarious skit at the very end of the cd. Go out to your nearest Best Buy or Frys and buy it today!
