I stumbled onto this artist after listening to Anouar Brahem. I really love the sound of the oud and was looking for other players. I now have all of Dafer Youssef's recordings. I love them all but this latest one is amazing. It is an awesome clash of Arabic music, norwegian jazz and electronica.I have heard a lot of great music in the last year but this one is my favorite. The combination of the beautiful sound of the oud, the sensational non-verbal vocals with electronic downtempo grooves all played by excellent musicians is very original and wonderful.This artist deserves much wider attention.
