This lady can sing. I only wish I could use more expressive language to express my delight in this CD. She is a breath of fresh air in a world of divas gone mad and radio without soul. All of the tracks on this album, especially "Frim Fram Sauce" and "If I Had You", brim over with jazz like I haven't heard in a good long time. If you haven't yet sampled Ms. Krall voice, I highly recommend you do so without haste.Free Music Review: A Wonderful CD!

I first bought this album with a bit of hesitation as to whether I would like it or not. It took a few listens to really appreciate and enjoy the CD. Now, however, it is one of my all-time favorite CDs. It is almost as if you are listening in some intimate jazz club. Krall's rich alto vocals really shine whether she is singing a slow ballad or a more upbeat song. It's been a long time since I've heard a jazz vocalist caress these tunes the way Diana Krall does. Cannot remember feeling like this since Sarah Vaughan or Carmen McRae (oh,do we miss them!). These are not songs that require an amazing range or power. These are songs about words and melodies and how to deliver their message in an intimate and convincing way. She has it all. A smokey voice and perfect delivery that Nat King Cole would have rushed to work with. And piano styling delightful enough to charm the moon down from the sky. I am thrilled to have stumbled on her music! And this album shows what can happen when a group of truly gifted musicans connect perfectly with each other and create magic. This is a classy CD, with some great singing. The jazzy style sets an incredible mood in any setting. The whole cd itself is a great intelligent, soothing experience. Diana Krall is an incredibly talented woman. I love when good voices get their due success!
