I've been following Ms. Krall's recorded output for the past 10 years and while I've yet to encounter a recording I didn't enjoy, I have to say that she really hit this one completely out of the park. Sublime. I've purchased this disc as a gift for both my parents and my girlfriend and they love it as well. I've yet to read the other reviews but if there are any less than flattering reviews out there, they must have received a different recording or something. Buy it.Free Music Review: Good job!

Being boring is the main point of Bossa Nova. The word "bossa" is derived from Boçal which means arrogant, a kind of behavior that denotes "I don't care". This behavior was common among those who started Bossa Nova. João Gilberto considered the Bossa Nova's father is even more boring than Diana in this particular album. This been said, Diana's work at this album is marvelous. Even not being Brazilian, she could understand the rhythm of Bossa Nova deeply.Free Music Review: From the best female singer ever!

I was first introduced to Diana several uears ago. Her voice is like an instrument.
She Never misses a note, even when you think she has, she is just sliding or moving to the next note. I appreciate all kinds of music and styles from country to jazz and all points in between. This being said, I think she is the BEST female singer I have ever heard, bar none. I consider myself a connoisseur of all beautiful things, but she is the best!

This album is simple, stripped down, breathy, and full of emotion. This is my first album of hers and I have to say it probably won't be my last. It is too bad that you either seem to love or hate this album. I would recommend that you prescreen these songs so you get a feel for the album before you buy it. I am glad I am one of the five star reviewers whom love this album. It is a good relaxing buy! It was a easy buy for me!!!Free Music Review: another great cd from Diana.

this new cd is titled Quite nights and is a great late nite listen.
this new cd is not supposed to get you on your feet dancing, it is a mood cd excellant for late nite relaxing or romancing.all of these songs are classics and Diana does her usual professional take on each one.if you need more exitement some of her previous cd's
should do the trick otherwise this is a great stress buster.
