Cynics really won't find anything much in this album. From the first song "S'wonderful" to the last ,"Maybe You'll Be There", it's all unapologetic swoon music. I love each and every song. "I Remember You" is so [sensually] arranged, bossa-nova style. "Dancing In The Dark" has my favorite intro of all the songs here. It's so perfect for Krall's silky voice that's at turns husky, then breathy and whispery. It's my favorite, second to the title cut. Then, the piano-playing in "Besame Mucho" is just plain heavenly. If you love bossa-nova as I do, then chances are, you'll like this album even if it's not 100% bossa nova. It's light jazz with touches of edgy, seductive bossa nova in places. I just couldn't get enough of this album. I listen to it over and over in my car. I'm afraid I'm going to have to buy another CD soon because I'll wear it out to bits. It's laidback rainy afternoon music, and I love rainy afternoons. And browsing in a bookstore. And the smell of coffee. Yum. I wouldn't mind elevator music this heartbreakingly beautiful. Really. They should play this album in all the cafes and bookstores, too. What a great idea, actually. Yes, fill the air with Diana Krall!

Diana Krall has a great voice and a wonderful, amazing talent for playing the piano. In this album, her piano-playing and her voice complement each other well, and the genius melding of the two is showcased wonderfully by the arrangements that show this off to an advantage. The effect is pure enchantment. It's great Krall doesn't take herself too seriously, and limit herself to playing just artsy jazz songs. Her brand of talent really ought to be shared with a wide audience, and not just some critics who turn up their noses at this kind of an album. (These guys really ought to ease up, have some love in their hearts, and there might just be hope for them yet. Maybe, they just might then be able to allow a little bit of happiness in their lives.) For those who do not care much for intellectualizing over their choices because they just want genuinely good music , I highly recommend this album.
