An amazing album from an amazing group.
Encompassing a range of emotions so vividly into a dark and haunting backdrop, Menschfeind delivers astounding variances of synthesised percussion and a satsifyingly deep drum sequencing effort.
Lyrics are relatively minimalistic compared to other bands of the like, never overbearing at any point, in fact you'll find yourself wishing to hear his voice a bit more in the tracks, that being said his voice is on par perfectly with the hauntingly atmospheric piano work.
Borderlining through Gothic to Industrial to downtempo EBM, this album is a must for anoyone who appreciates perfectly executed electronic music.
As a producer myself, I am in awe of the sheer amount of work and talent that has gone into this album and am incilned to collect every other Diary Of Dreams album after hearing this one.
Menschfeind Poster
This mini-album is the follow-up to 2004's "Nigredo", and the title is a pun that refers to the hatred of man by pairing the terms "man" and "foe". Diary Of Dreams combine melancholy and darkness with a closeness that embraces the unsuspecting listener almost uncomfortably and refuses to let go. "MenschFeind" isn't quiet or peaceful or even mystical--it's the outcry of revolution. A dark and apocalyptic vision that follows "Nigredo" beautifully.Pop Music CDs
