Free Music Review: great Hit: 5 Stars
Dierks Bentley has a voice that can't be explained. He is wonderful. This is one of my favorite cd's {along w/ his first cd}. It is worth the money. Doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous!
Free Music Review: Love it! Hit: 5 Stars
Dierks is amazing! If this is your first Dierks CD, I recommend 'Long Trip Alone' but don't get me wrong, he's extremely talented and all of his albums are excellent! ;)
Free Music Review: Great CD condition Hit: 5 Stars
the CD itself and timing of arrival where great. However, one corner of the original CD case was broken but that could have been a shipping problem.
Free Music Review: Brent Pescion Hit: 4 Stars
Dierks Bentley's new album Modern Day Drifter is better than his other albums entitled Dierks Bentley, Don't Leave Me In Love. This album has had more top 10 hits on the country music charts than his other albums. Songs on that list include: Come A Little Closer, Lot of Leavin' Left To Do. The album consists of 11 songs that have to do with a variety of things like, relaxing with domestic drinks and having emotions with women.
This album has a lot of good quality songs on it. For example: Lot of Leavin' Left To Do, is probably the best song on the album. How he came up with the lyrics and the beat of the song is amazing. Come A Little Closer and Domestic, Light and Cold are probably his two second best songs on the album. They have good lyrics to them and a really good beat to the songs. His two worst songs on the album are Down On Easy Street and So So Long just because they have very bad lyrics and the beat isn't very good. Another reason is that many people have not heard the song.
After listening to the album I would give it a four star rating out of five stars. The band members include Gary Morse who plays the steel, Steve Misamore, who plays the drums, Robbie Harrington (who had previously played for Keith Urban) plays bass guitar, and Rod Janzen who plays the lead guitar.
Dierks Bentley grew up in a nonmusical family. He got his country music education on his own by listening to recordings. He left for Nashville at the age of 19. He walked into the Station Inn and got his chance to play on a stage at the hotels bar. After talent scouts heard him, he landed a job on TNN doing research on classic country music and at night he worked on his demos. He finally signed a record deal with Capitol Records and made his debut in 2003.
