Free Music Review: Excellent Sophomore From Dierks!

After the success of his debut this is Dierks 2nd offering and he just gets better!
Included are his big hits Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do,Come A Little Closer and Settle For A Slowdown-the last 2 are excellent ballads.
He also has some other gems like Domestic,Light And Cold,So So Long and Good Things Happen which Alison Krauss provides harmonies on.
But the real standout is the beautiful touching ballad Gonna Get There Someday-I love the gorgeous fiddle arrangement on this.
Dierks has one of the best male voices in country music.It's a pleasure to hear him sing.
This album and artist is an essential to any country collection.

Dierks has an amazing voice- something in his voice has the twinge of a young George Strait too. Dierks comes out strong with a strong 2nd CD.
Come a little closer is a great track, Modern day drifter, accompanied by other great tracks. The fiddle, guitar is electrifying in a lot of the tracks, as well as his deep mellow voice. Whether is'a more upbeat song or not- the infusion of George Strait, somber sexiness, and innocent self-confidence of his tunes makes them catching, and singable.
It's a CD I have had on heavy rotation.

WOW! I love it when artists come back the second time around with an even stronger effort. That's what Dierks Bentley has done with Modern Day Drifter. His vocals are crisp and clean and his lyrics to just about every track are the 'stuff' of great writing and composition. Dierks is a naturally sensual man and he makes the most of it in his art and craft. In short, he's smart and uses his God given gifts. Most artists fail in that insight.

Dierks Bentley's "Modern Day Drifter" is one of the better country albums released this year. I was introduced to this album after hearing "Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do" and figured to give the CD a chance. The dissapointing part is that it has very few upbeat songs, "So So Long", Domestic, Light and Cold", "Cab Of My Truck" and "Lot Of Leavin' Left To Do". The remaining songs are all slow ballads but are still very good songs. Check this one out.Free Music Review: Dierk rules
