Free Music Review: bitter disappointment

After watching Rock Star Supernova, I was looking forward to Dilana's solo release. Well, in all honesty, I have to tell you that the wait was not worth it after all.
This is pure pop with a small hard rock influence on occasion. The way she came off on the show, I was expecting a new, exciting, rock and roll experience, but am left with a sell-out type experience instead.
The song writing is lacking, actually sounding quite juvinile on many of the tracks, especially "PMS"... Seriously, the lyrics to a lot of her songs are not that good, and are accompanied by far too many la las, do dos, and yeah yeahs... I expected more, PERIOD!
She does not come off as the alternative rock and roll godess on this release, she is more like the every day average rock chick with not a lot of talent... Don't get me wrong, her voice is great, but this album is pop, and nothing more.
If you are looking for the Hard Rockin' Dilana, stay far away from this release, hopefully, her next one will be more like her presentations on the show.
