Free Music Notes for On Every StreetFree Music Review: HEAVY FUEL THE BEST! Hit: 5 Stars
This was the very first studio album I purchased from Dire Straits. Before that, I was new to Dire Straits and I bought, the greatest hits 'Sultans of Swing 1998' and I liked the song Heavy Fuel and it was one of my favorite songs. I like it better
on here because it clocks in at 5:10 thus on 'Sultans of Swing 1998', it clocks in at 5:00, it's EDITED. I've only liked 2 songs
when I first purchased this, it was Bug, & Heavy Fuel. The year I
purchased this was in August 2004 and listened to it a few times,
great! Several months later, I listened to more songs liked a lot
but Heavy Fuel is still the best. Then I purchased another copy.
I just keep buying this new remastered CD and it's excellent. Originally released in 1991, this has been the best for 15 years.
Mark Knopfler makes great music. I own every of his studio albums and they are great but this is his best work. This is 5 star music so go purchase a copy today with On The Night Live, Love Over Gold, & the rest. Dire Straits ROCK!
Free Music Review: My Favorite From The Great Knopfler & His Band Hit: 5 Stars
Even though I enjoy all the Dire Straits CDs, this has always been my favorite. One reason is that it has, in my opinion, the best mixture of "fast" and "slow" songs, and all of them are quite different. The lyrics are really diverse, from supernaturally "Calling Elvis," to the hilarious "My Parties" to the fun "My Bug" to the haunting "Planet Of New Orleans." The latter is my favorite song here and, to me, shows Knopfler's talents like no other song. Actually, each song on this compilation is completely different from the others.
When you can start any piece of entertainment, CD, movie, book - whatever - off with a big bang, you've made an impressive start and that certainly is the case here with "Calling Elvis." It's a great, great opening number and sets the tone for a very entertaining disc of music.
It ends that way, too, with the catchy country-sounding "How Long," making you smile and want to listen to the CD all over again. I've done that so many times I've lost count.
Free Music Review: Heavy Fuel Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of Dire Straits' best albums ever did. 5 songs look
very interesting into rock on this CD while the rest are as slow
as they could be. It even has my all time favorite song, Heavy Fuel. I own this, and the Sultans compilation album.
1. Calling Elvis: This is a long song but really good. 7/10
2. On Every Street: A nice slow song then gets rock and rolling after 3 in a half minutes. One of the best. 8/10
3. When It Comes to You: This is a calm song. Seems more like
country insted. But good rock. 6/10
5. The Bug: One of my favorites, this a fast rock song is really
creative and fun to listen to. 9/10
7. Heavy Fuel: This is the greatest song on this album ever. My
favorite song of all time on this album ever. Great rock and
roll, great work. 10/10
I enjoy listening to this album. Better than Brothers. Get this.
Free Music Review: Buy It For Heavy Fuel!! Hit: 5 Stars
I really love Dire Straits, and this album is one of my favorites. Maybe not as much as Love over Gold but I like it as much. Heavy Fuel is my favorite song on the CD and probably the best song on this CD. Why does it never get radio played? Heavy Fuel has some great heavy metal riffs and it has great lyrics in it too. It is also one of my favorite songs of all time. Other than Heavy Fuel, I like My Parties most likely, The Bug is great! And, the greatest, Planet of New Orleans is on here too! It starts out with the great epic Calling Elvis. On Every Street is also great too. Here's how I rank every track on this CD!!1. Heavy Fuel 2. The Bug 3. My Parties 4. Planet of New Orleans 5. Calling Elvis 6. On Every Street 7. When It Comes to You 8. You and Your Friend 9. Fade to Black 10. Iron Hand 11. How Long 12. Ticket to Heaven Buy this.
Free Music Review: Another Great Product From Dire Straits Hit: 5 Stars
On Every Street, 1991 Dire Straits' sixth studio album and last.
I like this CD way better than Brothers in Arms. It is a lot simular to Making Movies while songs like Calling Elvis with
"Calling elvis is anybody home calling elvis i'm here all alone
did he leave the building can he come to the phone calling elvis
i'm here all alone" sounds simular to Romeo and Juliet. Heavy
Fuel with "Last time I was sober man I felt bad worst hangover
that I ever had it took six hamburgers and scotch all night, nicotine for breakfast just to put me right" sounds simular to
Skateaway two of my all time favorite DS songs. And the same for
My Parties with "Well this is my backyard, my backgate I hate to
start my parties late". The Bug with "well it's a strange old game you learn it slow, one step forward and it's back to go"
sounds a lot simular to Expresso Love and Tunnel of Love.
