Free Music Notes for On Every Street

Free Music Review: The Valdosta, GA Kid Review
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this CD, but I like other Dire Straits albums a lot better
than this. Love over Gold, Making Movies, Brothers in Arms, On
the Night, Dire Straits debut, & Live at the BBC. The best songs
would be hits such as Calling Elvis, The Bug, & Heavy Fuel which
all of these would be my favorites. My other favorites is My
Parties, & On Every Street number. I totally love the epic, Planet of New Orleans as much as Telegraph Road, Tunnel of Love,
& Money for Nothing. Then i like the slower songs such as the
great guitaring You and Your Friend. Fade to Black is a jazzy
song. And then I like When It Comes to You as my only country
song that I like. I think this CD is great, Money for Nothing
is simular to Heavy Fuel, Walk of Life is simular to the Bug.
It is highly and strongly recommended and I prefer you to buy this album along with 4 from Foreigner.

Free Music Review: Dire Straits' swan song
Hit: 5 Stars

"On Every Street" is distinguished by mellow country sounds. "On Every Street", "When it Comes to You", "You and Your Friend" and "How Long" feature wonderful interplays between Mark Knopfler's guitar and Paul Franklin's pedal steel. This is the kind of atmospheric music you might enjoy over a snifter of good brandy on a cold night while contemplating the problems of the world.

The up-beat rock tunes, "Heavy Fuel," "Calling Elvis," and "The Bug" are good, but not exceptional and I quickly tired of listening to them. "Iron Hand" is dramatic, and some of the other songs on the CD are cocktail-lounge blues -- intimate, smoky, and augmenting the melancholy atmosphere of DS's last studio album. "On Every Street" didn't sell as well as the megahit "Brothers in Arms" but the music is just as good.

Free Music Review: One Of The 3 Best Records By Dire Straits
Hit: 5 Stars

A much better record 6 years after the lame record, Brothers in Arms. I was born when this came out, this came out in 1991. I would have made a purchase along with these 4 albums, Metallica Black Album, Nirvana Nevermind, & Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion CDs. Anyway, the best songs are Heavy Fuel, My Parties,
& The Bug. I love the song You And Your Friend because it has
really great guitar riffs and great lyrics. Also, When It Comes
To You is a great song. The 2 opening songs are great too, Calling Elvis, & On Every Street. Then the epic, Planet of New Orleans rocks at the end. Heavy Fuel is one of the greatest songs is rock history and this is a masterpiece. Buy it with
Love Over Gold, & Making Movies and please stay away from Brothers in Arms. 5 stars, anyone who gives this 1 star dosen't
know Dire Straits. Period. This Rocks!

Free Music Review: The Reviewer Below Me Is A Moron.
Hit: 5 Stars

To the idiot below me,

Your opinion about this great band is not needed. The ones you
hate like Green Day, and Nirvana are absolutely great and the
ones you like such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, & The Who are ok but not great. I like both Brothers in Arms too, but please grow up and listen to this.

Anyway, this is a really great album and one of my favorite albums of all time, period. It contains some really great songs,
'When It Comes to You', 'The Bug', 'Heavy Fuel possibly the greatest song ever written', 'My Parties', and 'Planet of New Orleans. Please don't listen to that 1 star reviewer below me who says it is BORING and get this album right now with Making Movies, & Love Over Gold. Dire Straits will always be the best band of all time.

Free Music Review: My favorite DS
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this cd. So expressionate. The song PONO is great, and you get the steamy feeling while MK writes and plays and sings about any topic, whether it is a threesome in You and Your Friend or any other topic. Quite an underrated recording. I have bought it two or three times. Really good stuff.

The CD is most likley the best that Dire Straits ever made. The songs flow and have a very humerous tone that MK can give to songs. Songs like 'YOU AND YOUR FRIEND' and 'MY PARTIES' are genuinley fun to listen to, and MK tells a great story stocked with juicy guitar riffs that have jazz elements to them.

It is a very good representative of Dire Straits, and it is the swan song for dire straits, but a very effective one.
