LISTEN this is my all time FAVOURITE album by Dire Straits.
My name is listed in this album, such as my other friends, Money
FOr Nothing, Sultans of Swing, & Tunnel of Love. I love this
album because it has some of the best music I have ever heard.
But there is missing a few songs, "The Bug", & "Skateaway", &
"When It Comes to You". If this album was edited also here's
what tracks I would add.

Insted of bad songs like "Romeo and Juliet", "Private Investigations", "Love over Gold", & "Brothers in Arms" I reccomend 2 other bonus tracks to this second Sultans of Swing/The Very Best of Dire Straits in addition to the first.

After buying this CD, another version with a great bonus CD came out. You should buy it instead: Sultans of Swing: The Very Best of Dire Straits (same title, but check it out). The 2nd disc contains live concert recording with extended versions and solos.
Anyway, I bought this CD to listen to on long drives and it was the most affordable compilation. Also, my interest at the time was just in the more well-known songs "Sultans of Swing", "So far away", "Walk of Life", etc. Since then, I find myself listening more to the rest of the CD! I did not realize what a great musician and lyricist Mark Knopfler is. His latest release Kill to Get Crimson is currently getting a lot of radio play.

This maybe my favorite compilation out by any band!! But theres
only 2 reasons why you shoudn't buy this CD, it's got editing,
and it is missing too many songs. Down To The Waterline (My favorite), Six Blade Knife, Lions, Where Do You Think You're Going, Skateaway, Expresso Love, Hand in Hand, Solid Rock, Les
Boys, Telegraph Road, Industrial Disease, Love over Gold studio,
It Never Rains, Your Latest Trick studio, Why Worry, Ride Across
the River, The Mans Too Strong, One World, When It Comes To You,
Fade to Black, The Bug, You and Your Friend, My Parties, & Planet of New Orleans are all missing. But it's got most of my
favorites. My favorites would be Tunnel of Love, Private Investigations, So Far Away, Money for Nothing, & Heavy Fuel.
Buy the whole CD, it's got some really good songs on it and I
like every song on it!

This album is the best album ever! I rate 5 stars on it! The music is so great. The weakest songs are Private Investigations,
and Brothers in Arms. My favorites is Heavy Fuel, Money For Nothing, and Tunnel Of Love. ROCK ON STRAITS!!!!

Making a list of greatest hits is very hard to do with this band since Dire Straights over the years has made some truely remarkable music. From the maintstream hits such as "Sultans of Swing", "So Far Away", "Money for Nothing", etc., to the lesser known songs such as "Calling Elvis", "Heavy Fuel", and "Wild Theme" this is a collection of their songs and is a great way to listen to how this band evolved over the years, however the lead musician in the group, Mark Knopfler has always remained a gifted guitar player and has that unique voice that is recognized the world over.This CD is for those who have enjoyed listening to Dire Straights over the years, and those who may have heard one or two of their hits and want to listen to more, then this is the CD for you. Highly recommended!
