Growing up, my Dad gave me a love of all things classic rock, Dire Straits included, but I only knew "Walk of Life" and "Money for Nothing". After a drunken recommendation from my brother, I decided that they were worth getting to know better, and I'm very glad I did. This album is amazing and has been played dozens of times since I bought it. I especially love "Romeo and Juliet".Free Music Review: I love some of these songs

I am originly a country and Christian music fan. There are some classic rock bands that I like. I love some of these songs. My favorite is Tunnel of Love. This is a good song. One problem, I wish it were longer, I love the instrumentel at the end and wish it were longer. Sultans of Swing is also cool, and so is Walk of Life. I'm 16, but I can't do the adult review. This is my favorite CD. It's all here, the hard rock of Money For Nothing, and the heavenly music of Local Hero (Wild Theme). I absolutely love the instrumental sections of Brothers In Arms, Local Hero and Tunnel of Love. Whether you like rock, country, or a mix of both, there is no better all around album that I have heard in a while. Sultans of Swing is the best Dire Straits compilation and Knopfler is one of the finest singers and guitar players ever and this has all the band's classics from 78-91 like Sultans of swing, Money for Nothing, Walk of life, Tunnel of love, Calling Elvis, Lady writer, So Far Away, Heavy Fuel, and Romeo and Juliet. The first time I heard Mark Knopfler play that guitar I was driving through Queens heading for the Long Island expressway. Lucky for me my rental car had a good stereo and when Dire Straits came on I turned it up LOUD!! Actually Mark Knopfler was in the studio with the D.J., guiters and all.Dire Straits became one of my favorite bands then and there.
