"Beauty and the Beast" was one of the most beautifully staged musicals I have ever seen. The music, the set, the orchestrations could not have been better or more enjoyable. If the "Be Our Guest" number doesn't take your breath away, you weren't breathing in the first place. Susan Egan could not have been a more perfect Belle and was lovely, lively and very funny when the part called for it. She has a maganificent voice. I saw Tom Bosely playing the father, and he combined warmth and humor. All in all, I would rank this show as Disney's best and one that I would gladly see and hear again and again!Free Music Review: There Are Not Enough Stars!!

My fiance and I attended a production of "Beauty and the Beast" and were so knocked out that we had to get the soundtrack. Along with such well-known tunes as the title track and "Be Our Guest," there are songs in the musical which were not included in the film, such as "Home" and "Human Again," which are wonderful. A highlight of this album is "If I Can't Love Her," in which the Beast laments his state upon realizing that he loves Belle. I highly recommend this soundtrack to any Disneyphile or admirer of Broadway productions.Free Music Review: Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme.

Well, what can I say. "Beauty and the Beast," was one of my favorite Disney movies when I was growing up. I was 10 when I saw it in the theatres. I'm 24 now, and my girlfriend and I have tickets to see this show done as a musical at Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke. She and I are both very young at heart, so when I bought this recording, I had to share it with her. This wonderful recording contains virtually all the songs from the film, plus some additional new gems. "Something There," makes me cry every time I hear that cut. I do have to say that before I listen to this cd, i thought it wasn't going to be as great as it was. Oh Boy, did it surprise me! It was awesome to actaually have a Beast song, the movie left this out and could of added alot to the movie. There is only one problem wit this cd, they left out a song. A Change In Me was left out and that was the big disappointment because it is a great song. The Cd is a amazing and everyone will love "If I Can't Love Her" and "Home" which are my favorites and amazing ballads. I hope you enjoy this cd!Free Music Review: Amazing Music

Beauty and the Beast the Broadway soundtrack holds its own. Whether you are a fan of the theatre or Disney movies, this sound track is a MUST have for every person. Terrence Mann as the Beast is so moving, and when you hear the first notes of "If I Can't Have Her" you can feel the emotion in his voice. Susan Egen as Belle is wonderful, she adds a bit of a brassy twist wich is perfect. All of the loved songs from the movie are here plus more songs that the kids will love and parents can enjoy.
