Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie, but the musical is even better. It doesn't leave out any of the wonderful songs from the movie, but does add a few that, in my opinion, are even better. Just a few of my favorites are; If I Can't Love Her,sung by the beast; Home,beautiful and powerful,sung by Belle; and the classic, Beauty and the Beast, sung by Mrs. Potts. It's really a worthwhile cd, I listen to it over and over and know all the songs by heart!Free Music Review: Great Soundtrack For All Fans Of Disney!

Even if you haven't seen the Broadway musical, if you're a fan of the original animated movie, you'll want to consider buying this CD. The songs are very beautiful, even if the original cast (in my opinion) isn't as great as the one on Bway now. I have seen this show on Bway and I loved it. A couple of the best songs are "Belle," "Home," and "Human Again." I have been a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast since the first time I saw the animated film when I was little. And when I found out that my favorite movie of all time was being made into a Broadway musical (theater is my other passion :0P) I couldn't have been more thrilled! This cd is amazing, and it doesn't even do the show itself justice. Treat yourself and buy it today! If one is familiar with the animated movie, the songs are a treat. The new additional songs on the CD are also plot driven, which made the original seem like a stage musical to begin with. If one ever has a chance to see the musical performed live, all the better, as the stage scenes play in the mind while listening to this CD. It is also fun to hear other voices of other actors perform the familiar songs.Free Music Review: Pretty good soundtrack

Very good Broadway soundtrack. It is different from the movie soundtrack. It took two listenings to fully appreciate it, but I love this CD. Highly recommended for fans of the musical, with great cast and music. My only gripe, not significant to dock a point from the rating, is that the booklet doesn't tell when the CD was recorded. Other than that, a must buy for Broadway and Disney fans.
