Free Music Review: 5+ stars: wonderful collection, great performances, unbeatable price

Gushing is not my style, but for the four-volume Disney Children's Favorite Songs I can't think of enough superlatives: comprehensive, well-performed and -produced, and inexpensive to boot. What's not to like?
The problem with children's song collections is it's so hard to find what you want, and only what you want. Were it not for this Disney library, one might have to spend a small fortune buying CDs and sorting through chaff and duplicates to build a collection this complete. I'm hard-pressed, in fact, to think of a popular children's tune that isn't here. Buy this collection and you may never need to buy another.
Production quality is what one would expect from Disney: the children's choir is well-trained and well-rehearsed, and the arrangements are more than enjoyable. And while Larry Groce's voice may not be the most impressive, it's quite listenable and well-suited to the material and I have no complaints.
And how can you beat the price? At six bucks a disc, this four-volume set will set you back less than many single-volume albums. It's just impossible to go wrong with Disney's Children's Favorite Songs. Wish I could give more than five stars.
