These songs remind me of my childhood and listening to my parents and grandparents sing. My 70 y/o father ask for them for christmas after hearing them in my car. I too am one of the 20-something parents that loved this album when I was young, and I plan to share it with my children. I have many good memories of listening to these records (we had Volumes 1 and 2). Our family was a musical singing family, so these were great songs to learn and sing in the car.My sisters and I used to have hours of fun singing and dancing to these song. The record made great accompanying music for doing chores. We used to see if we could pick up all our toys before "I've Been Working On The Railroad" was over. And then we'd mess up the room and do it all over again. My favorites were "It Ain't Gonna Rain No More" and "The Green Grass Grew All Around".
Regarding the singer, he is Larry Groce. He was nominated for a Grammy for Best Children's Recording, I believe for this recording. Some of the songs do include a children's chorus. The original credits on my record say the performers are: Larry Groce and the Disneyland Children's sing-along chorus.
