Free Music Review: ummm....
Hit: 3 Stars

it was very cute but the i have to say the worst part of this cd was hilary duff and her sister. i never thought she could sing. her sister sings ALOT better and she's the one with out the record deal. and raven, if you listen carefully, you can hear her sqwel.

Free Music Review: haven't heard it
Hit: 3 Stars

I haven't heard this cd yet but if it is anything else like the rockin' 1 b4 it just called Disney Mania it is gr8! I'm a gr8 fan of disney I have to admot but no one can resist a combo of gr8 Disney songs that r sung by stars. I'll probably by this one!

Free Music Review: Not for hardcore Disney fans
Hit: 2 Stars

Now, I am only going by the disney.com online samples, but a LOT can be told by those samples. My rating is out of 5, 5 being the best

Welcome (Brother Bear): It was surprizing how quickly the turnaround to making to a Disneymania. And Jump5 do a very good job in doing the song, but it was also written in a pop manner to start out with. 3/5

True To Your Heart (Mulan): Another song that was written in a pop style to start out with. I wouldn't consider this song a Disney classic, but eh. I find it interesting that Raven has now done two Stevie Wonder songs now. This one isn't a good however. 2/5

It's a Small World (It's a Small World in any Disney park): When I first saw it I cringed. Baha men doing Small World sounded so weird. But, it's done in such a way that it truely does mix the orginal song played in the style of the artist. Very nice job, one of my favorites on the album. 5/5

He's a Tramp (Lady and the Tramp): Sounds pretty much like the orginal, so to a Disney purist might be put a bay. Still, done very nicely. 4/5

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah (Song of the South): Here's where I start having problems. This song, if played long enough, I'm sure could make any Disney fan have a stroke. It's sad to see such a classic song mutilated beyond recognition like this. 1/5

The Siamese Cat Song (Lady and the Tramp): Again, yet another mutalation, but this time on a not so classic song. I think Hilary Duff and her sis got the short end of the stick on this one. 1/5

Circle of Life (Lion King): As found on the Lion King Platinum DVD. 2/5

A Whole New World (Aladdin): It's sung very well and keeps to its roots very well, with one exception. The song loses its meaning when a couple guys sing it. 3/5

Once Upon (Another) Dream (Sleeping Beauty): As found on the special edition Sleeping Beauty DVD. Total travesty, not even the same song. 1/5

Anytime You Need a Friend (Home on the Range): There's something sad when you use a song that hasn't even been released yet. Still, pretty good. 3/5

The Second Star to the Right (Peter Pan): Not as bad as the Stevie Brock thing, but that's not saying much. It's...ok. 2/5

When You Wish Upon A Star (Pinocchio): Sung wonderfully, the beat is a little weird to hear, but you get used to it. 4/5

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella): Wrong song for the style chosen, a crooner type style. But, still, it's not bad. 4/5

Baroque on Main Street (Main Street Electrical Parade): YES! This is, by far and wide, the best song on the album. Any Disney fan will get a kick out of this song, especally if they'd seen the parade. It takes guts to do this song because so many fans love it like their children. I personally commend They Might Be Giants for a very loyal and excellent interperation of the theme. This is what a Disneymania song SHOULD sound like. 5/5

There are some diamonds around this rough CD, but they are too few and far between. Simple as that.

Free Music Review: Dreadful and pandering
Hit: 1 Stars

When I was a kid, I was a big fan of the old, classic Disney movies. But hearing this, I can only ask, what happened? How can Disney produce such crap? The answer, of course, is simple. It's all about making money.

How else to explain this collection of horrid, shrill recordings?

What we have here is the worst sort of pandering by one of the most soulless corporations now in existence. Each and every "song" here is an example of rote, by-the-number calculation, designed to appeal to what the Disney people must assume are idiotic SUV-driving parents and their overindulged little monsters, in other words, to people who cannot distinguish between quantity/popularity and quality. That's not necessarily what the purchasers of this product are, but rather, how those who produce this product see you. Why give in to them?
