Free Music Notes for Disneymania 3 (Jewl)Free Music Review: My personal favorite Hit: 5 Stars
From all4 Disneymanias I loved this best: it has best songs, best re-makes, best artists. Then goes 2nd Disneymania, then 1st and all way down 4th (too much hip-hop/rap songs, it doesn't sound as Disney at all!). But this CD is really cute! I liked it 1st time I heard it! Every song has something special, so I'll review it one by one:
1st: Under the Sea by Raven - I adore Raven vary much, and if we don't look original song, this one is great. But, when we look original, this one doesn''t have such a rythiam. It's still wonderful for listening and Raven's voice is really great!
4.5/10
2nd: Hawaii Roller Coster Ride by Jump5 - This teens can rock! I loved this song and viedo is great too! All that Hawaii sounds really makes it special. I adore how they sing all those Hawaiian words! It's really great for dancing and listening! One of my fave.
5/5
3rd: A Whole New World by Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey - Original song is wonderful and Jessica's voice is not special. After all, I don't even like her. But it's still good song, romantic, and it's good it has some "modern" sounds. I like it, it's not best, but good for listening when you're tierd.
4/10
4th: It's A Small World (Rapmania! Mix) by Fan_3 - I don't listen to this kind of music, but this song is OK! Defenetly not something I would listen everyday, but I will strat to sing when I hear it.
3/5
5th: The Bare Necessities by Bowling For Soup - WOW! is all I can say! at first I didn't like this song, but my younger brother listened it all the time, so I got hooked up. And it's really goo! It has good rythm, maybe better then the origanl!
5/5
6th: I won't say (I'm in Love) by The Cheetah Girls - at first I lisened it all the time, but it good little boring. This girls have nice, sweet voices, but I might didn't like how they mixed and all. Beggening is great, after it is's too slof. But it's still good song.
4/5
7th: Zep-a-Dee-Doo-Dah by Aly & A.J. - As my brother said, better then original: it has emergy! I like original song vary much as well and nothing can't beat it, but still, this is great song with great music and Aly and her sister A.J. have great voices which are even better when they sing together. Not my favporite on disk, but fantastic!
4.5/5
8th: Kiss the Girl by Vitamin C - Hmmm... I don't like this song as much as I like others, but it's Ok. Beggening is really lame, but it might be again because I don't like remixes. Still, original is so Wonderful that I think that version can't compare!
2/5
9th: Pat of Your World by Sky Sweetnam - Little Mermaid is my all-time fave Disney movie rom since I was 3 and Part of Your World is my favorite Disney song. So I was really looking forawid to hear re-make of it, althoug I didn't except much. After it, I stayed in trance: I had no idea that such a slof romantic song can be SO good as rock song. It's DEFENETLY as good as Original, and Skye is graet young preformer! She should sing more for Disney, she has great voice, great look and she's so funny and sassy! I love all her songs and this is my fave! I could listen to it all day and still want more! Best song on disc!
10/5 ;)
10th: Colors of the Wind by Christy Carlson Romano - I'm not big fan of her, I think she has boring songs, but this song is really good! It has good music and, althoug it's slow as original, they are totally defrent! I can't say do I like this one or original better, but this is defenetly graet song, one of best. And one of my favorite!
5/5
11th: Proud of your boy by Clay Aiken - Not so good, but it's fine. It's not boring as some songs, but it's not my fave. Still, if we take out my look on song, it's grat song and Clay's voice is really something!
3.5/5
12th: Strangers like me by Everlife - Although nothing can't beat Phill Colinis' voice from original version, I still adore this one, even more! It has good music and energy! I love it! One of my fave!
5/5
13th: A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes by Kimbearly Locke - Unfortanatly, I have to say this is boring song a little. Yes, it's beautiful, Kimbearly has great voice, but I can't listen to it so long, so I usualy skip it. Still, it's romantic, althoug I like original song better (no matter it's bad recording).
2/5
14th: Cruella De Vil by Lalaine - Lalaine has really nice voice, really sweet. Somng is Ok too. Not special as some of songs are, but it's fine, and it has good music. It's not so far from original also.
3/5
15th: When you wish upon a star by Jesse McCartney - I can't stand much this guy. Yes, he does have Ok coice, but he sound too girly. Yes, he does look good, but still girly. Sometime, I think his songs are seng by some girls. I do like his song "Beautiful Sould", but this one I can't stand in original and re-make is not special eather. Sorry all girls and Jesse, it's my though.
2/5
Total mark (from 1 to 10):
9/10
Really good CD, worth of buying. Althoug niot all songs are best, it has few that are really something, so it makes this CD really great! I would also love that I saw Renee Olsead and Hilary Duff on this CD, but it's great anyway!
Disneymania 3 (Jewl) PosterCD The genius of the Disneymania series -- if genius isn't too strong a word to use in association with tween-targeted music -- is the levels on which it works. If you're eight, it's the ideal jumping-off point from pure-kiddie fare: goodbye Lilo & Stitch soundtrack, hello Skye Sweetnam. And if you're 18 (or older), it's lighthearted kitsch; a lively, listenable, and sometimes surprising excuse to revisit songs you loved as a kid. In addition to Disney's own popster parade (Jump5, The Cheetah Girls, Christy Carlson Romano), mainstream hit makers like Jessica Simpson and Clay Aiken don their mouse ears for 3 -- the charm in a series that will leave tweens of all stripes wishing upon a star for a 4 that's as bright and shiny. --Tammy La Gorce
