Free Music Review: Just Very Good or Great - Still Digesting
Hit: 5 Stars

Disturbed has been my fav metal band since "Believe". So picking the CD up certainly made my day.

At first listen, you get the hard driving pulse and the consistency of the album. While 'Inside the Fire' got into my head and didn't leave for a few days, most of the other songs are taking longer to sink in.

And after about 20 listens, I'm starting to get into each one of them. With each listen they're sounding better and better. Mind trick: think of Indestructible as 3 EPS: tracks 1-4 are the opener, 5-9 middle section and 10-12 the closer. Each part can be seen as slightly distinct, with most of the punch in the 1-4 and 10-12 portions.

I'll be making my final judgment after a few months, the time it normally takes me to move a release off my "new" playlist. But for sure this is no letdown from their previous stuff. And it may turn out to be one of the most loved hard rock albums ever made.

Free Music Review: Outstanding!
Hit: 5 Stars

This release is simply excellent. Disturbed are demonstrating they have the ability to become stronger and actually improve over time rather than suffer from apathy, lazy songwriting or basically 'coasting' on their earlier albums. 'Indestructible' as a whole is heavy (without being excessively so for the band's ability or style), quick-tempo'ed and aggressive music- a superb effort with many memorable tracks; personal faves include Indestructible, Inside the Fire and The Curse.

Many of the tracks have really good replayability (they 'wear' well with repeat listens), and matching their strong musicianship, the songs are good lyrically also- the messages are intelligent, layered, and thought-provoking.

The band continues to cement its reputation and no doubt will carry the next generation of metal into the 21st century. If you're a Disturbed fan of any sort, this belongs in your collection.

Free Music Review: A Definite Step Forward
Hit: 5 Stars

I have always liked Disturbed because of their unique vocal sound. However, I never considered them to be a true force in metal until I heard this album. I always knew they were great musicians, but they always seemed to hold back to maintain the integrity of their signature sound. They really opened up and let it fly on this album! As a result, the lead guitar work on this album sometimes rivals that of bands that pride themselves on speed guitar riffs (e.g. Megadeth, Metallica). The rhythmic drum and bass patterns occassionally venture into the complexity of progressive metal.
My biggest beef with Ten Thousand Fists, was many of the song progressions and patterns were too predictable. Not so with many of the songs on this album. The additional complexity provides more texture, which makes the music appealing over multiple replays. Kudos to Disturbed for taking it to the next level.

Free Music Review: Indescribable
Hit: 5 Stars

Well ok ,it is describable, but how about with words like "creative" "heavy" and "awesome". Ill have to be honest, I havent heard much from the 10,000 Fists album but I certainly remember Sickness and Believe and this is just as good or even better. People are saying all the songs sound the same, but if they sound good, they shouldnt have a problem then. Besides, they dont sound alike, theres something different in each one and almost every song is good, not just one or two tracks that usually carry a whole album. Anyways, this is a great album for Disturbed fans, or just anyone looking for a creative album from a band that put a lot of effort into the instrumental part of their music. We already knew the vocals were great, but how about these guitar solos, they sound awesome! Pick this album up now!
