This album is one of the best live albums that I've heard, whether defined by genre or male/female or single performer vs. group. I think Natalie's voice is an incredible powerhouse voice. I wish I could belt it out like she does!! And the instrumental solos are fantastic. I don't know about you, but I can't play banjo like that. I think the group's on-stage talent proves that they are, in fact, the real thing.
As far as her political opinions are considered, I do agree that GW is an idiot and has run this country into the ground. HOWEVER, people have different opinions and they should allow others to have theirs. It shouldn't matter where or when a person declares those opinions. Natalie voiced what she believed in, and I give her kudos for having the bravery to do that in a country that shuts out ANYTHING that isn't the 'right' opinion. Don't take it out on the MUSIC! Open your minds to understand that there are different people, different opinions that should be taken into account. Please listen to the music with an unbiased ear. Thank you.
Free Music Review: An energetic, talent filled, greatest hits!

How often does a live album give you a bands greatest hits? Instead of the typical live package of the top songs from the most recent album, The Chicks give us a double CD package that takes us from 'Wide Open Spaces' to 'Home'. As a bonus, we get the previously unrecorded, Chicks version of 'Mississippi', the tune written by Bob Dylan and recorded (unreleased) on Sheryl Crow's 'The Globe Sessions'.This is an amazing band. Read the insert and you will find a statement that boasts the validity of these womens' talent... it says simply that this album was NOT remastered in the studio. It is exactly what you would have heard if you were lucky enough to see a concert this year, three voices in perfect harmony backed by muscians with exceptional abilities.
Whether you have all the Chicks previous material, and just want to capture the energy and feelings of admiration a Chicks show provides, or you are new to the music and want a way to get all the hits in one package, this album is for you. Get this CD, you will not be dissapointed!

This is an excellent live CD. They play almost every hit. They show their immense talent with vocals, instruments, and more. Every fan should have this one! I only wish that they could have sang more hits, like "Without You", "You Were Mine", "I Can Love You Better", etc. but this is still a top notch set list. They borrow from each of their three albums as this group. From WIDE OPEN SPACES we have "There's Your Trouble", "Wide Open Spaces", "Am I The Only One (Who's Ever Felt This Way)". From their album FLY we have "Goodbye Earl", "Ready To Run", "Cold Day In July", "Cowboy Take Me Away", "If I Fall You're Going Down With Me", "Some Days You Gotta Dance", "Hello Mr. Heartache" and "Sin Wagon". From their newest album HOME we have "Long Time Gone", "Landslide", "White Trash Wedding", "Travelin Soldier", "Truth No 2", "A Home", "Tortured Tangled Hearts", "Godspeed", "Lil Jack Slade" and "Top of the World". There's also an incredible version of Bob Dylan's "Mississippi". Overall a must have for all fans, it's an incredible show!Free Music Review: The Dixie Chicks Kick Ass

I saw the Chicks live in Houston on the Top Of The World Tour, this CD and DVD totally captured the experience... and what an awesome one it was. I am even in the DVD so its even better for me...hehe. I just wish that they would have added "Am I The Only One (Who's Ever Felt This Way)" and "Mississippi" to the DVD they were amazing Live! But I was so thrilled to hear that they were putting this out since I saw them. Its such a buy, so what are you waiting on... go out and buy the DVD and the CD and show your support to the Chicks!!! Get them back up on those Charts!! Oh and by the way the Top Of The World video kicks ass I think it's their best work! Ya'll really capture the meaning of the song with the video... WAY TO GO CHICKS!If you think that the chicks can't sing you must be a dumb ass hick thats sitting there listening to that fat ass retard Toby Keith that REALLY can't sing!

All of the Chicks greatest music on one cd....cannot get much better than that...and it's LIVE too!!! I've seen the Dixie Chicks live twice since 2000 and they are fantastic! So glad they released this cd to remember the TOTW tour!!!
I wish there was a 10 star rating..because this one, along with the other Dixie Chicks cd's are top notch!!!!

I had the pleasure of seeing the Dixie Chicks live after "the incident" in June of 2003....let me tell you that Natalie, Martie and Emily never said ANYTHING offensive. The only thing Natalie said that was even close to anything involving the whole fiasco was that having the right to vote is one of the GREATEST priveledges that the American people can have. They kept their focus on the MUSIC....unlike a certain other country artist that couldn't help but poke fun at Natalie by showing doctored photos of her with Saddam as well as a dog relieving itself on a picture of the Dixie Chicks. Now THAT is tasteless!
