Travelin' Soldier is my favorite song by the Dixie Chicks--it reminds me of another song I heard before I ever heard Travelin' Soldier called "Soldier And The Fortune Teller" by the artist "Rhiannon"---Like 'Soldier And The Fortune Teller'....'Travelin' Soldier' is a wonderful bluegrass song with beautiful imagery, outstanding instrumentation...and out of this world vocals...this is by far their best work ! hear it -love it-buy it !!!Free Music Review: One Of The Best Blue-Grassy Story Telling Songs !

As an online disc jockey at 'ACOUSTIC PARADISE' broadcasting via live365.com, I spend alot of time looking for great Americana/Bluegrass 'story telling' songs-and I love songs about American soldiers- ' TRAVELIN' SOLDIER ' and "SOLDIER AND THE FORTUNE TELLER " are amoung my favorites. These types of songs are what Americana is all about- Purity and simplicity with a blue-grassy edge. I highly recommend adding these to your CD collection.Free Music Review: Who could ask for more??

What a great Dixie Chicks collection. All of their great songs, and live!! This band sounds just as good live, as it does recorded in a studio. What talent!! It is amazing to me that this album was recorded live, and no remastering done to their voices - not very many artists can do that. This speaks volumes about the Dixie Chick's talent. The Dixie Chicks are the best show to see in concert. The 2 disc live cd is full packed with all of your dixie chicks favs including wide open spaces, cowboy take me away, travlin solider...the list goes on and on!!!! I have seen them three times in concert including this tour. This was by far the best experience seeing them live probably cause i had floor seats. Great live recording. There is a lot of new live stuff out there today and the Dixie Chicks sound great live. I saw this tour and I was hoping they would put out a live recording and here it is. Buy this CD if you like the energy you get from a live performance. The audience and performers clearly feed off of each other and make energy that can only be heard and felt live. This CD is one of my favorites. Thanks girls.
