Free Music Review: Almost great, but not quite

This compilation of music from Season 3 of the latest incarnation of Doctor Who offers a lot, but not a lot of it offers the best. For example, there is more music from the two part stories "Human Nature" and "Family of Blood" than there is from "Runaway Bride" which to me was a much more exciting and enjoyable story. Additionally, a great deal of music seems to be missing from the three-episode "The Master" arc that concludes the season. But there are some wonderful gems. "This is Gallifrey - Our Childhood, Our Home" is a beautiful, evocative piece that pops up all over the final episodes. But much of the music of The Master's return is either truncated or not the same mix as shown in the episodes. That said, the excerpt of "Yana" does contain some of the most exciting music I've yet encountered in any of the episodes.
So, is this a buy worthy soundtrack? Definitely. Does it match the quality of the first release? Not quite. But that shouldn't stop any Who fan.
Free Music Review: All the strange, strange creatures...

Apart from not having the new theme music, I really like this album. My favorite pieces are "All The Strange, Strange Creatures", "The Doctor Forever", "Blink", "YANA" and "The Master Tape". All the pieces are good, these are just my favorites. I also enjoyed the Liner notes and the pics from the different episodes. I was expecting to hear some of the theme from the Doctor Who show, but didn't.
I did like the music involving Martha Jones and The Master.
