Free Music Notes for Doctor Who - Original Television SoundtrackFree Music Review: "Fantastic!" Hit: 5 StarsAll I was hoping for was an uncut version of the theme. We get that and way more! We get a short and long version. We also get the tear-jerking "Doomsday," reminding us of when the Doctor gets seperated from Rose. And the best surprise is "Song for Ten," the song that plays in "The Christmas Invasion" when the Doctor is picking out his new outfit! Wow! Get this CD!
Free Music Review: Doctor Who - Soundtrack from Series 1 and 2 Hit: 4 StarsI don't usually go for Soundtracks... but, occassionaly there is one that is worth a listen. Murray Gold does a great job of composing music for this series. Neil Hannon performs two of the songs. The CD compliation of Series 1 and 2 of the New Doctor Who is a nice listen. Great to have playing while working away on the computer.
Free Music Review: But can the sconic screwdriver hold MP3's? Hit: 4 StarsFor Dr. Who fans you are going to get a nice suprize. All the composions are well done especially "Domesday" Killer bassline. The theme has been brought back closer to the Tom Baker/Peter Davidson era which is a good thing. But be warned there are two songs which are just bad. They are sung in a very "middle of the road." Mr. Gold does some great scores but these songs are something that K9 would have to destory to save the day. Overall, very good soundtrack.
Free Music Review: Murray Gold = God Hit: 5 StarsEverything from the photos to the liner notes to the glorious music itself make this worth every penny. Unlike many TV soundtracks, this CD actually includes the scores used in the show! The themes and background music that give the show that extra special touch are all represented in their full glory. Five stars!
Free Music Review: The Doctor Dances! Hit: 5 StarsMurray Gold has hit...well, gold.
So has the BBC.
I believe that this show could run forever now that it has been re-invented. Whether it does or not is important to me because it will live with me.
The new Doctor Who is not only for the fans nor is the music. This music will appeal to anyone so check out the shows and relate to the music! The theme has completely re-invented and I love that but I might say that without the Mark Ayres' and the Dominic Glynn's...where would we be now?
I love this.
