Free Music Review: Holy ..., Dog Fashion Disco does it again!

1. Love Song for a Witch
A fast, pounding opener with creepy and cool keyboards. The guitars and drums are faster than ever in this track.

2. Rapist Eyes
Wow. A damn good track with downright odd lyrics. It is complete with a jazzy interlude and a great bassline.

3. Dr. Piranha
A really cool and fast track with circus-y keyboards. Todd Smith give a really good delivery on the bridge.

4. Fetus on the Beat
This is a remake from an earlier release that you can buy on xactrecords.com The remake has cool atmospheres added to it; making it that much cooler to listen to.

5. Worm in a Dog's Heart
This track starts with vaudville-esque keyboards with a cool effect on the bass, but then goes into a Nothingface style progressive chorus; only to turn into a wierd and messed up verse.

6. Plastic Surgeons
This is a really cool track with oddly placed xylophone (sp?) soloes. Need I say more?

7. Pogo the Clown
Another remake of an earlier release. This is almost completely jazz. This is a showcase of the band versitility and musical ability as a band. God, this is an amazing track. Great bass work by Steve Mears.

8. Castaway
No clue about this song. It's just...undescribable...I love it.

9. Nude in the Wilderness
This is the first single on the cd. The song is a great single and just has cool little prog-rock breakdowns in the middle of it. This song would make Mike Patton himself want to hug this band.

10. The Acid Memoirs
Frank Zappa would have really liked this track. This is another really diverse track with really bizarre lyrics. This band doesn't get worse.

11. Deja Vu
Another jazz track. Complete with a saxophone solo and just a really cool coffee house atmosphere to it. This is their cool down track that would attract fans of John Zorn or any artist on Tzadik records.

12. Magical Band of Fools
Huh, a FUNK TRACK?!? Yes, and that damn catchy bassline makes you want to dance. This alone would have made me buy this record. Also there are more sax parts provided by Matt Rippetoe on this track.

That's it...unless you can find the two hidden tracks..hehe...
This is an amazing release and its in my top 10 of all time. If you like rock, you will enjoy this!
