Free Music Notes for Lightning Strikes AgainFree Music Review: Refreshing Rock and Roll Hit: 4 Stars
All I can say is Thank You Don Dokken. This is just what the rock world needs is the older guys to show the youngsters what rock is supposed to sound like. No Lynch or Pilson here but it's hard to tell. Classic riffs and just good ol' Dokken sound. There are a few ballads on here but they are awesome too. I also recommend the new Whitesnake album and I await the new Judas Priest double studio album "Nostradamus" in early June. Keep true rock alive!!!!!!!
Free Music Review: SOLID DISC...BUT NOT OUTSTANDING Hit: 4 Stars
I've read the reviews and yeah, it's a solid CD from Dokken but it's far from being the Beatles White album...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Jon does an excellent job on the guitar and the solos are strong, but Don's voice strains throughout many songs. If this disc was done in Dokken's prime, it would surely be something to hear. Overall, I am quite happy with the CD, but let's not give it more than it deserves.
Free Music Review: Lightning Strikes: Again Hit: 4 Stars
If you like mid-eighties Dokken, you will like this. We could always hope for more, but this is as good as it gets without a time machine. Don Dokken has delivered a solid DOKKEN album with all of the bells and whistles. It belongs next to "under lock and key" and "back for the attack" in any Dokken fan's cd collection.
Free Music Review: Dokken is still good. Hit: 4 Stars
This is good Dokken. Not great, but certainly good and worth owning. The album is a good Dokken listen. If you are expecting "George Lynch" Dokken, you will probably be disappointed. But this album is certainly up to par with their last 2 albums, which I also liked.
Free Music Review: Attacked Again! Hit: 4 Stars
Was I suprised after listening to this CD! This reminded me of the Back for the Attack CD. You would not know that this was not George Lynch if you just listened to the music only. Don's lost his highs but this is expected after rocking for 20 + years!
