Free Music Notes for For God and CountryFree Music Review: Dolly What Has Happened???? Hit: 1 StarsI used to like dolly alot, and as a personality I still do..but man she had sure not produced any good cds in years.
Free Music Review: Ugh, You will do much better with other offerings Hit: 2 StarsThis CD is WAY over produced and dopey. If it weren't Dolly singing, I would have returned the CD.
Free Music Review: WOW! What a Voice! Hit: 5 StarsI have been a Dolly fan forever, and I can honestly say that every single song made me feel something unique. She is such a musical genius. Her voice soars high above any singer there is around today. Sit down and think of every female singer you have heard sing in the last 30 or so years - then compare it to the power, emotion, strength, angelicness and pure joy in Dolly's absolutely fantastic, amazing, breathtaking, astounding, bewildering, emotional, powerful voice. A little woman with a MASSIVE voice. Buy this CD or I guarantee you will live the rest of your life wondering what experience you are missing out on by not grabbing this musical masterpiece!Dolly is the most talented, beautiful, emotional, intelligent human being on this planet. I PROMISE there is not and NEVER will be another even slightly like Ms Dolly Parton, in soooo many respects.
Free Music Review: Dolly gets patriotic Hit: 4 StarsIt makes sense that Dolly Parton would record an album like this. Being an avid fan (she is my favorite entertainer of all time!) I bought it. What you have here is a classic Dolly Parton album. Yes it's heavy with religious themes and patriotic songs, but it works as an album. 18 tracks in total, Dolly wrote 14 of those. A lot of them are older songs that were redone, such as "Light of a Clear Blue Morning" and "Brave Little Soldier". She does a great version of "Tie A Yellow Ribbon". The album's first single is "Welcome Home", a song about coming home from the war and redemption in a sense, about going to heaven. It's classic Dolly. So is the ballad "I'm Gonna Miss You", which will likely bring a tear to your eye. "Go To Hell" is a bit of an epic song. There's a lot of patriotic songs like "Color Me America", "The Glory Forever", "God Bless The USA", "The Star Spangled Banner", and many others. There's also some inspirational numbers like the classic "There Will Be Peace In The Valley For Me". Overall, a nice album any Dolly fan will want. She often talks between each songs, which makes the album all that more personal. Dolly has often said she wants to promote this album with lots of singles. I'm not even religious, and I'm not an American, but good music is good music.
Free Music Review: Gotta respect her Hit: 2 StarsShe is doing what she wants which is more than I can say for most female artists today. on the other hand a lot (but not all) of the patriotic songs aren't too great and for the most part this cd is so heavily produced and makes me yearn for her more stripped down albums. Try little sparrow.
