I finally listened to the CD and it was WONDERFUL. Stairway to Heaven brought a tear to my eye it was a very touching rendition.
Dolly you outdid yourself.

Dolly Parton has delivered another great, soulful and truly artistic album. She is a supreme example of artists who manage to keep their musical integrity intact once they achieve major stardom-and Dolly proves how on this CD. Besides the title track, commenting on the fine line we walk in life, other notables are "Shattered Image", "These Old Bones", a great story song; Dagger Through the Heart, and "Stairway to Heaven", which Dolly managed to pull off quite well and without aplomb. A excellent album.

I like Dolly Parton. I have always enjoyed her movie performances and pop songs that tend to crossover to popular radio. Halos and Horns has moved me in many ways. Few artists can make you laugh, reminisince, and cry during the course of their albums.
"These Old Bones" is a wonderful story that you want to listen to over and over. She shows her story telling talents in this track and I couldn't help but smile and then mourn later in the song. This is the song that I keep going back to and I hear it in my head all day at work. It makes me smile!
She has a positive message in all songs. Do what is right and don't judge. Halos and Horns is a great tune that all people should be able to relate to. I just can't put the album into words. It is a great little album where Dolly takes some risks and in doing so finds success in making memorable music.

Dolly's "Halos and Horns" continues her streak of awesome albums. Songs really stick in your head - I'm either humming "Sugar Hill," "Shatter My Image," or the great "John Daniel." Despite what the critics say, my sister and I love "These Old Bones." Any fan of "Me and Little Andy" will really get a kick out of it.

And Dolly actually makes "Stairway to Heaven" an enjoyable song!
