Donna Summer Crayons starts with a hit n run (Stamp Your Feet) a wonderful song about not giving up. This is a feel good song with a punch. This is a sure fire hit, with all the beat you need to dance and stay inspired all day. The whole cd is very versitile from up tempo to a southern sound on (Slide Over Backwards) as only Tina Turner could sing untill now.Crayons is another favorite fun Reggae makes you wanna dance and celebrate life"s diversity of all people on our planet.This Mega hit features Ziggy Marley, love it love it love it and you will too.
I"m a fire is like some of Donna Summers great past magical hits with a added 2000 latin sound. This song gets under your skin and wont let go WOW.The ballads on this cd are beautiful, such as (Be Myself Again,Bring Down The Reign). The songs Fame,Music and The Queen is Back rivals any new artist out there.Then there is Drivin Down Brazil, this refreshing song makes you wanna get in your converatble and go for a spin in the sun and fun.This cd will have you dancing,singing along and wanting to hear it again. You will enjoy this cd I do very much reccomend it Buy it. Dear Donna, we met several years ago in Los Angeles,you"ve done it again. You have a Mega hit cd, and yes The Queen is Back.

Anyone who thinks that Donna Summer has had her day should think again. The third single release from this album - Fame (The Game)which is easily the best track on the album - has just hit the top of the American Dance Charts. That meeans all three singles from this album have topped the American Dance Chart. Bearing in mind how many tracks are released PURELY for this chart makes Donna's accomplishment all the more remarkable.
There is not a duff track on this album. As another reviewer pointed out, this album could easily be mistaken for her Greatest Hits album. Whilst a lot of artists who have been around as long as she has are churning out mediocre material, Donna Summer has once again done her legions of fans around the world proud. The fact that she has dedicated this album to her fans makes her all the more wonderful.
With this album, I have managed to convert many of my friends, who were only casual fans, into super fans. I bought my partner a copy of this and it spent six months in their car stereo.
It's a well known fact that in England we don't get much of a summer.....well I live in England and my SUMMER (just like the title of one of her earlier greatest hits packages) remains ENDLESS!!!!!

As a fifty-something, I have been a lover of great music for a while.I lived and loved as a part of the disco generation.I closed down many a club nite out dancing to "Last Dance". "Bad Girls" with it's infectious beat streamed from my boombox. Fade to black.
Donna Summers(circa 2008) hasn't lost a thing. Like most of us fifty-something,there's a little more of her to love.She is still as vibrant and beautiful as ever.Her voice is flawless. She is a testament to careful living.
This cd is unbelievable. Somebody help me because I can't stop listening to it! Mr.Music is my least favorite and I give it a 9 out of 10.As other reviewers have said, it is an eclectic grouping of melodies." I'm a fire" is the "Bad Girls"of 2008.It is a club burner! This album appeals across generational,cultural and sexual lines. It is the best cd of 2008,bar none.Hey, I'm saying this and the year isn't half over.This album is a reflection of the wonderful caring, person Donna Summers has always been.
With all the crap out here labeling itself as music,shouldn't a truly phenomenal album be singled out. This is that album! I hope this is a commercial and critical success for Donna and her collaboraters. BUY THIS CD NOW!!!

It's rare when, after so many years of waiting for new material from an artist like Donna Summer, one can truly say, The Queen Is Back and it was worth the wait. Wow! What a collection of fresh, current, and eclectic material. She made a wise choice in convincing her label to release an album of new material over covers. Where does one start? From the moment you listen to the first song, the current anthem single Stamp Your Feet, to the exclusive It's Only Love, which is sure to be another club pleaser and follow up to the #1 hit I'm A Fire - in between you will find a kaleidoscope of sounds and colors. Mr Music should be a definite new release sure to please hip hop dance fans. Slide Over Backwards is the hidden diamond among all the colorful jewels - doesn't sound like her at all which is I think the sign of a true artist. Other notable tracks are Crayons, Science of Love, Fame (the Game), and the one ballad Be Myself Again where she confirms why she's the called the queen. I think Donna has outdone herself and created a masterful production. I rank this album right next to The Wanderer as one of her best! I have been a fan of Donna Summer since 1978. I have enjoyed her period of super stardom, and I have endured her descent from the charts due to radio not continuing to play her music due to her disco stigma. I have always looked forward to a new Donna Summer album, and I have never been let down. From her years at Geffen records in the 80's to floundering between labels in the 90's she has continued to put out music that was relevant and current. She never felt he need to redo Bad Girls, or make a carbon copy of Last Dance. I cannot understand the confusion around her latest release, Crayons. The notion that she is trying to sound like a teeny bopper are insane. She is doing nothing different than she always does...make a current dance album that is true to herself. The only difference is its been 17 years since the last one. If you purchase this CD, you will not be let down. From start to finish it is a true classic, and very enjoyable. If you pine for the 70's, pick up one of her various greatest hits collections....If you want to hear some great contemporary dance music and ballads...buy this. You wont be dissapointed.
