Free Music Notes for Donnie Darko - Original Soundtrack & ScoreFree Music Review: good soundtrack Hit: 4 StarsI've never purchased this item, but i've watched the movie enough to love the versions of the songs. Watching the commentary gives some insight into them also.
Free Music Review: They Finally Came Out With This! Hit: 4 StarsEver since I have seen this movie, I have been wanting the soundtrack for it. The score is not bad, but the type of music that is in the movie is my favorite, and I just wanted to be able to have it all on one disc. I love the songs on the first disc, but I don't believe I have ever listened to the second disc a full time through. I am just happy this finally came out.
Free Music Review: Good Soundtrack to a Good Movie... Hit: 5 StarsGreat Soundtrack - fits the mood of the film perfectly.
For Whom the Bell Tolls sends chills every time I listen to it - truly a masterful piece of work.
Free Music Review: Complete Soundtrack Hit: 5 StarsThis version has everything the US release does not. If you love the movie you will love this CD set. Buy it!
Free Music Review: Loved the Movie, Loved the Soundtrack Hit: 5 StarsI definitely think this soundtrack is better than the US version. The score is excellent but I also wanted the songs featured in the movie.
I find it odd that people complained that there were some bands lacking. I'm not sure I can identify w/them. From what I see, the non-instrumental songs featured in the film are on the CD. I'd like to point out that if memory serves me correctly, Tears for Fears' version of "Mad World" was never featured in the movie. The movie used the re-make by Gary Jules.
I have listened to both CDs numerous times & each song evokes a feeling & of course, it brings me back to the point in the movie where it was featured.
I'm definitely happy I bought the 2 disc version instead of the 1 disk US release.
