The import edition of the Donnie Darko soundtrack is two discs. One is the actual pop songs, and some classical works, which are all very good and includes the remake of Tears for Fears "Mad World." The second disc is the instrumental score, with two versions of "Mad World," included as well. The instrumental score is very dark and omenous, and the two disc set is a nice collectible piece of music that I highly reccommend. The price is a bit high, at over $30, but if you are any type of a fan of the movie, or a soundtrack collector, this album is for you.Free Music Review: TALK ABOUT AMBIENT!

Geeze ...when i bought this i couldnt believe someone took the time to score an entire film with this ambient style. ive only loved another soundtrack of "noise' of sorts before, & that was fight club. i could cry i get so scared listening to this when im goin to bed. Frank might as well be satan in disguise wasiting in my closet to take my soul.... by which he would have to rip my tongue out to do so. Ever since I have seen this movie, I have been wanting the soundtrack for it. The score is not bad, but the type of music that is in the movie is my favorite, and I just wanted to be able to have it all on one disc. I love the songs on the first disc, but I don't believe I have ever listened to the second disc a full time through. I am just happy this finally came out.Free Music Review: donnie darko review

If you were fascinated with the movie and fond of 1980's genre of femenistic rock and roll then you will most likely fall in love with the original soundtrack. And The original score of seventeen compilations is as dark as is it intoxicating. So cherish Donnie Darko with the captivating original soundtrack and score.
