Free Music Review: Great if you love Donny and Marie

If you are a real fan of Donny and Marie and don't mind live recordings then this is a good cd. There doesn't seem to be a lot of audience applause during this recording which almost makes me feel sad for D&M, however, it was recorded in the 80's when I think their popularity had begun to fade a bit. I have always love D&M so I enjoyed the cd. Also, alot of the songs are ones that have been recorded by other artists (such as Tammy Wynette's Stand by your Man (which Marie sings) and the Pointer Sisters I'm So Excited (which Donny sings). They do snippets of some of the songs that they made popular together but not too many. Anwyay, if you love D&M as I do, then you will enjoy this cd. If you are just a so-so fan, then I wouldn't necessarily purchase this particular cd. Go for one of the Best of ... cd's.Free Music Review: Wholesome fun

I have been a fan since day one, of the music and of what I know of the family and their values. The dynamics between brother and sister never fail to impress or delight. Previous reviews indicated disappointment in the over-all quality, but I did not find this to be the case. Two negatives: I wanted more traditional tracks, and I wanted more, more more! Having the opportunity to see these two in concert, I promise you the CD delivers the same high quality performance, energy, and fun. Donny's enthusiasm and authentic happiness is contagious, and Marie's never-failing beauty and grace enchants.Free Music Review: It's Fun - Not Too Serious

Free Music Review: Donny and Marie- When it is time to "Go Coconuts"?

This is a LIVE CD recorded in 1984. The songs are good but the quality is not. The songs are not connected and the start and stop very abruptly. I wish I knew it was live but couldn't find out it was until I received it.
When will it be time to release the old 70's from Donny and Marie on CD?? "Goin' Coconuts" was fantastic and so was "New Season". Those are the CD's that we want, not a live 1984 CD. Also, would be great to have more of the TV shows and the movie Goin' Coconuts on DVD. It's a fun movie and has catchy songs. Donny you are doing a great job with the remastered releases so far but please remaster more of the 70's albums and tv shows. Thanks.
