Free Music Review: Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat
Hit: 5 Stars

The character of Joseph is a very strong singer due to is background carer in music in the Osmands.(Donny Osmand) The character os the narater has an amazing voice. Which she has not taken any further. Also their is an apperance from joan Collins as mrs potihar.
The cast is superb! The man who plays benjimn has furtherd his carea to be a part of the film jesus christ super star.
The set is outstanding with all the lighting and costumes.
The chior is amazing! But with the childrens lines thier could have been more haronys. But who am i to say for me i cant hold one note.
The coreography and the acting give high standerds for the film.
The film is an enjoyable film which you would want to sit down to on a sunday evening after a tasty sunday roast and then swith on the telly and sing along to.
it is aimed at all ages! even my great grandma enjoyed it at the age of 99.
i hope you will enjoy the film as much as me and my great grandma did.

Free Music Review: The Best Cast Recording Overall
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the best overall cast recording of the three revival cast recordings available. After hearing (and seeing in Toronto Canada) Donny Osmond as Joseph, you won't want to hear anyone else in that role. I have all the other recordings of this show, and this is by far the best recording. True, the orchestrations are a bit electronic sounding, but then again, this is Andrew Lloyd Webber and the orchestrations make the best of the available instrumentation. The songs are uncomplicated, the lyrics are playful and witty. Janet Metz as the narrator can be a little wearing on the ears after awhile, but I personally like her performance the best of the three revival casts. The American cast with Michael Damian in the lead is a joke. And the British revival cast recording is mixed differently so that all of the performers seem to be soft and lost within the orchestra. If you want just one cast recording of Joseph, this one is the one to get!

Free Music Review: SSOOO CCOOLLLL!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

It's the most fun show I have ever heard. I've only seen an ammature play of it done by 12 year old but they were great! I love this show! I think this version with Donny Osmond was very good. My favroite song was "Potiphar" Especially the fast parts. My second favroite and a favrote of my friends is "Close every door" it's sad but preety. I also like "Who's the thief." In this telling of the story they had Joseph older in the begining and Benjimen already born and married which I thought was strange. For Joseph only saw benjimen when he was brought to Egypt. I also really like the song "Stone the Crows" "Pharoh said, 'well stone the crows this Joseph is a clever kid,...'" And "What does this crazy, crazy, dream mean? OOHH YYEAAHHHH!!!!!!"

Free Music Review: Get set for the video-- this show is a blast!
Hit: 5 Stars

As an owner of all three "90's revival" Joseph albums (USA, UK, and CA), I'll say that this version, origionally produced in Toronto by Livent, inc. is very impressive. And Webber presumably agrees-- Donny Osmond has been chosen to star in the video version of the show (similar to last year's CATS) which supposedly is meant to be filmed this summer and released this winter. And I have to admit, Donny Osmond's performance is amazing. For instance, of the three recent albums, he's the only Joseph able to hit the high C at the end of "Close Every Door" (perhaps the show's most moving number). The quality of his performance has to be seen and/or heard to be believed. If you haven't seen any version of the show, the three 90's versions are all well executed, and each has it's own charm.

Free Music Review: The best recording of the show yet!
Hit: 5 Stars

Laurie Beecham's narrator on the original broadway cast is still the best out there, but Janet Metz comes in a VERY close second. Donny Osmond is the best joseph! He makes everyone else sound "second rate". When i first heard of this musical, i expected it to be very offensive to catholics ( and others ) who know the biblical version of joseph's coat of many colors. BUT: Mr. Webber has put the show together with such care that it truly is a "family show". Even my grandparents (who are devout catholics) loved the show when they saw it. The music is great, the costumes are great, the performers are great, and above all- you can't lose with a story like this. You need only buy 1 joseph cd, this one. Enjoy!
