I must admit, my sister and I went to see "Joseph" when it was in Boston a few years ago, mainly because we had childhood crushes on Donny Osmond! I absolutely loved the show. Donny Osmond was just fantastic in this role and the songs seem to be made for his voice. Whoever thought of casting him was right on. This CD is one you will sing along to while in the car, and even my 2 year old loves the music.Free Music Review: Don't Waste Your Time With the Other Joseph Recordings!

This is the ultimate Joseph cast recording! Donny Osmond has a fabulous voice, which he doesn't get nearly enough credit for! He was the perfect choice to portray Joseph. The rest of the cast is wonderful from Janet Metz to Johnny Seton. They all display a wide range of talent including great singing and comedic timing. If you love musicals, get this CD. I am an actor who has performed in this show as "Benjamin", "Isaachar", "Baker", and "Joseph"... everytime I do the show it gets better and better. I am currently directing the show and needed the cd to run my rehearsals due to the fact I have no rehearsal pianist. I had looked at all of the Joseph tracks to be sure I got the right one. I didn't like the voices of certain characters on the other cd's. I LOVE this one! I had gone to see the musical just a week or two ago and loved it. You don't even really need to see the musical, the cd tells the whole story. I would recommend this CD over any of the others. This is such a great album to get you moving! There is such a variety of song styles, it would appeal to anyone. Donny Osmond, what can I say? He has such talent, as do the other members of the cast. I would prefer the Narrator from the CD soundtrack than the one in the movie any day. Any one who enjoys musicals or broadway needs this in their collection.
