Free Music Review: Gotta Love Donny, and these GREAT SONGS Hit: 4 Stars
Let's just say that this is the very first Donny Osmond CD I have ever owned. I am not sure why, but I guess I kind of thought of DO as somewhat of a joke when I was younger. But you know what, thanks to Wierd Al of all people, I started paying a little attention to Donny and his goings on! If you get on YouTube and search for Donny Osmond, you will find a HILARIOUS CLIP of Jimmy Kimmel making Donny's Dreams come true! You can also find the White and Nerdy Video full take of Donny dancing in the background!!! Donny may be White and Nerdy, but he is a great person with a great voice! He enjoys having fun and his personality is infectious! There are TONS of DONNY FANS out there, and there should be more. This CD is full of great TRACKS, and Donny puts his spin on things without hurting the original idea. For those of you who grew up in the 70's, you will love this CD. The music is great, and so is Donny's voice. If you were afraid to give Donny an honest listen, this is the time to change course. Thank you Donny for keeping the faith, and entertaining many of us over the years!
Free Music Review: The music on this CD is relaxing Hit: 4 Stars
Donny Osmond does a good job performing these classic songs from the 1970's. My favorite track is "Mandy". The piano playing by musician Raymond Angry is very pretty. He accompanies Donny's vocals well on the song. I also like Donny's cover of "Will It Go Around In Circles", "Let's Stay Together", and "I Can See Clearly Now" I think his voice sounds very soulful on these tracks. Neil Jason provides a groovy bass on this songs. I love the energy in his voice. "Laughter In The Rain" is a pleasant sounding track too. I really enjoyed the up tempo song of the track "How Long". "If" and "Alone Again Naturally" are beautiful love songs. There is a hint of sadness on this tracks, and I think Donny conveys this feeling well. "How Deep Is Your Love" and "You Are So Beautiful" were my least favorites on this CD. Donny does a good job singing this songs, but I just did not enjoy them as much as the others. However, I enjoyed most of the music on this CD, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Free Music Review: You don't have to be a Donny fan ... Hit: 4 Stars
I've never been a big Donny Osmond fan, but I wanted to try this cd for lack of better things to listen to nowadays -- Well I was very surprised to find out how much I enjoyed it! Donny's voice seems to have a wide range and it seems like he can do almost any song and make it sound good.
His rendition of "Alone Again, Naturally" has to be one of the best I've heard ... I think even better than Gilbert O'Sullivan's ... And if you want a real treat, listen to his version of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" -- it's wonderful! I think you'll enjoy the cd if you give it a try ... I did ...
