Even if you are NOT a Donny fan, you will be impressed with the songs, lyrics and Donny's mature voice. It is a different kind of CD with a unique compilation of songs from various popular musicals. Donny sings with such great passion and feeling that you cannot help but get entranced and captivated by the different styles of music in this one CD. My husband even enjoyed listening to the CD and has a couple of favorites. (He was not a Donny fan, by any means, so this must really be a CD worth listening to!!!) There is something in it for all ages, including children. My two children have their own favorites as well. We have enjoyed this CD on our many family road trips. It has something for everyone! I had this album with me for years and I still absolutely love this album - really!
"This Is the Moment" is an album of Broadway songs and it is beautifully crafted with lush, contemporary musical productions.
Donny defines these Broadway songs his own way. The songs are creatively, passionately, enthusiastically, and if the song calls for it, sometimes, humorously translated, making it a an interesting and delightful adventure for the listener.

Fantastic, Magnificent, and Terrific! Did I mention this CD was FANTASTIC?! No doubt I will wear this one out!! My personal favorites are "Seasons Of Love" and "This Is The Moment"! I love the way he belts out "This Is The Moment" and his duet with Rosie! They sounded great together and it was a delivery of true friends! The duet with Vanessa, so smooth and pretty! In the end the arrangement of "Give My Regards To Broadway" was such a great sound! I know I'm partial but with talent like his how can you go wrong!! Do yourself a favor and get this CD! Whoever said that the public doesn't want to see or hear Donny Osmond again should be tarred and feathered! "This Is The Moment", to me, is one of the greatest moments in his career.He not only does these songs justice, he pulls you in. His voice is so smooth that whenever this CD is on we just stop what we're doing and get lost in it. My personal favorite is the title track. I've seen Jekyll & Hyde - now I'd love to see Donny Osmond in it!
Thank you, Donny, for not giving in or giving up. It may have gotten a little bleak in the 80's, but the new millenium is looking very bright indeed. I'll be waiting for whatever is next!

Donny Osmond never ceases to astound the listening public with his virtuosity....from his teenybopper hits in the 70's to his rock and roll "comeback" in the eighties to his mastering of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" on stage over 7 years (enough so that Andrew Lloyd Webber chose Osmond to star in the video version of the show!)...to this year's release of a contemporary collection of Broadway hits....he is a top notch performer. "This is the Moment" is another fabulous moment in this entertainer's career. His voice, in perfect form, is as smooth as velvet! Buy it! Buy it now!!! You will not regret it.
