First , a little ago, in the 60's , some of you may remember , that Auto Service Stations , sold yearly Christmas albums. These were often called Treasury Albums , featuring , Varius Atrists . So was the case , at the "Goodyear" Station my parents went to. My brother and I delighted in our Mother bringing home the next volumne in the series ever year.
This was our intro. to the greats of the time, including Doris Day.
My Mother loved her rendition of Silver Bells , from one such album , and she would play it , as we decorated our tree. This is one of my fondest Christmas memories . Those albums are long gone now . When I saw this edition being sold on CD , I had to have it.
It's like a visit from an old friend . You'll love it too , no regrets 4 stars.

I LOVE THIS CD. PART OF THIS CD IS FROM A CHRISTMAS ALBUM RECORDED IN 1964. IN 1964 I WAS 7 YEARS OLD. MY FATHER BOUGHT THIS ALBUM AT AN OLD STORE WHERE WE USE TO SHOP YEARS AGO. I LISTENED TO THIS ALBUM OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, YEAR AFTER YEAR UNTIL IT SOMEHOW WAS LOST OR PITCHED IN THE TRASH. THIS IS THE ALBUM THAT MADE ME FALL MADLY IN LOVE WITH DORIS. HER VOICE IS LIKE AN ANGEL, AND THE ARRANGEMENTS ARE JUST SO AWESOME. I LOVED DORIS THEN AND I LOVE HER STILL. BUY THIS CD. EVEN IF YOU DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH DORIS YOU WILL LOVE THE CD. The Complete Christmas Collection by Doris Day is JUST THAT! Every deejay in America and round the world should be playing this on the hour every hour. It has some of the best versions of standard Christmas songs ever recorded. Judy Garland singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"? FORGET IT...NOBODY sings it like Doris. And there are two different versions of "SILVER BELLS"..BOTH FANTASTIC. "Let It Snow" and "Winter Wonderland" actually become sexy songs. And the reverent 'SILENT NIGH", now has THE DEFINITIVE VERSION. you must OWN this CD!!!Free Music Review: Excellent

I purchased Doris Day..The Complete Christmas Collection right before the holidays. I am a huge fan of hers. This CD is absolutely wonderful. If any of you are Doris Day fans then this is a must, even though I had a couple of her other Christmas CD'S, this one has all of her recordings to listen to during the holidays or anytime. It is well worth every penney. Doris Day to me is probably one of the best female singers of our time.
If I could have rated it ten stars I would have.

If this cd does not put you in the Christmas mood nothing will.
Quiet,soothing and sweet this will take you back to those days of
Christmas parties and happy times. Even if your not a Doris fan (not that this is possible) you will love it.Some of the songs I had heard before some not but here they all are with a special holiday greeting from Doris herself. Christmas has passed but I still put this on.
I give this the highest rating I can. Buy it now you wont be sorry.
