I'll admit the only reason I ran out of the theater to buy this CD was not because of all the music in the movie. All I really was interested in was the opening titles and eliza's song. I was really impressed with those tracks and had to have them in my collection of music. After listening to those I was a little unimpressed with the rest of the album but over time it grew on me. Now I consider it my favorite soundtrack for 2006. Its a well rounded musical journey. With lots of splashes.Free Music Review: where is siouxsie?

Not really a scary film score, The Monster House is more of an adventure/scary/action packed score. Mostly just background music, some tracks are long but some are really short, one track being 42 seconds. This score gives you a clear image on how the movie is going to be like, I'm eager myself to see it when it comes out for listening to this. Well organized, this soundtrack is recommended.
