Free Music Review: Works for us!
Hit: 4 Stars

Karp's techniques work! The CD works too, even though the sounds on it are only marginally less disturbing than a crying baby. However, knowing our daughter is happy is worth sitting through head-splitting noise. We had to make a copy of the CD and remove the "hair dryer" track because it makes our daughter start crying again when it comes on... with my wife and I not far behind.

Free Music Review: Great help at home and in the car
Hit: 4 Stars

Started using this when my baby was about 5 weeks old. Very helpful. I gave it four stars because there is one track, I believe 4, that startles him and wakes him every time it starts.

Free Music Review: Good CD
Hit: 4 Stars

CD has great sounds that really soothe your baby, whether they are fussy and need calming or relaxing music to play all night.

Free Music Review: Happiest baby on the block calming sounds CD
Hit: 4 Stars

Our 2 weeks old son loves hearing the sounds. He listens carefully and gets a calm glance in his eyes.

Free Music Review: It's OK, but we made our own CD
Hit: 3 Stars

We have the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and book, and since we like both very much, we thought it was a good idea to buy this CD to help our daughter sleep at night. It's OK and we have used the heartbeat and the rain falling sounds for a while, but we actually made our own white noise CD recording and looping my husband saying "shhhhhhh" and it works just as well. We also have used the radio's static as white noise and it was fine. So if you don't have the time or patience to make your own CD or find alternative solutions, this CD is a good choice. Otherwise I would skip it.
