Free Music Notes for Dream A Little Dream: Original Soundtrack From The Vestron Motion PictureFree Music Review: Good movie made great by a superior soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
To really appreciate the music on this soundtrack, i would suggest that those who haven't seen the movie, go out and rent it. The reason is because each song on the soundtrack is perfectly matched with the appropriate scene in the movie. Like the reviewer below has said: "It transports you back to the scene in which it is played." The song "Dream a little dream of me" (both versions), is a nice, upbeat song that appeals to anyone with a happy sense of life. It's almost as if the song were specifically written for such people, those that are young and/or young at heart. It was a perfect song for the gym scene with Corey Feldman and Meredith Salenger, whom in my opinion, had extraordinary chemistry in the movie. Michael Damian's song "Rock on" hit #1 back in the days and makes me think of cavalier generation X'ers, lol. Nice song, but my fave on the soundtrack is the song "Time runs wild". Again, an upbeat song that can't be fully appreciated unless you check out the corresponding scene in the movie. This movie and soundtrack brings me back to my youth (although 24 isn't that old) and some of the best times of my life. Fans, feel free to email me.
Free Music Review: not your typical teen movie has the soundtrack to back it up Hit: 5 Stars
This has to be one of my all time favorite soundtracks. Having grown up to the movie (I was nine when it came out) I had to own the soundtrack. I've been carrying it around for years and, just like the movie, it has a certain charm about it that never really gets old. In fact, I've found that these songs get even better, the older I get. I'm 21 now, and "Time Runs Wild" has much more meaning now than it did when I was 10. lol. go figure. The best way I can describe this soundtrack is to compare it to an old high school yearbook. I will agree with the other reviewers by saying that each song does transport you back to that particular scene in the movie and to really appreciate the music, it would help to see the movie. I'm really glad to know that there are other people out there who enjoy this movie and soundtrack as much as I do.
Free Music Review: An 80s Classic! Hit: 5 Stars
Amazing soundtrack ! One of the best 80s soundtrack ever that combines not only the awesome hard rock of the late 80s, but also classics by Otis Redding (Dreams To Remember) and Van Morrison (Into The Mystic)
Mickey thomas' rendition of the title song is superb, especially as you can picture the scene it is used in the movie where Corey Feldman dances like Michael Jackson to impress Meredith Salanger - an 80s classic.
Other gems on the album are "Time Runs Wild" by Danny Wilde, "Dreams Come True" by Lone Justice and "You'd Better Wait" by Fee Waybill. R.E.M's classic "It's The End Of The World As We Know It" and Michael Damian's number 1 smash "Rock On" add to the excellence of this collection.
The only bad thing about this is it is missing "Where Is She?" by Blue Future.
Free Music Review: All in All Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
Not only is the movie amazing complete with such talented and extrodinary actors but the music in the movie is placed so well. when watching the movie the music makes you feel the emotions of the characters. It seems like each song is perfectly in sync with each scene. The songs that were put onto the soundtrack are some of the best 80's songs I know of. I'm a little sad that "Young at Heart" didn't make it on there but the rest of the compilation makes up for it. I HIGHLY recommend the movie and this soundtrack.
Free Music Review: A Great soundtrack to match an Amazing movie!! Hit: 5 Stars
I saw this movie when I was little and fell in love, and this soundtrack helps bring it all back. The movie is soo adorable and beautiful, especially for the young at heart. And the songs on this soundtrack are amazing, even though it's missing a few of the good songs from the movie. I love every single song on this soundtrack! I recommend it especially to those who have, or will see the movie, but even if you haven't seen the movie, they're still great songs.
