Free Music Notes for Systematic Chaos (W/Dvd) (Spec)Free Music Review: Dream Theater Keeps the Dream Alive with SC Hit: 5 Stars
Systematic Chaos cannot be defined. I think it is wonderful, amazing, musical, compelling, gripping, intriging, beautiful at times, ugly at times, dark and heavy in some places, light and inspiring in others. It is diverse, unique, and different from any new music you can buy today.
This is a real treat to listen to from the first note to the end of the CD. There are things you'll like and things you'll dislike. But even the parts you don't like you'll find that you can't stop listening. The musicianship in this band is second to none. Even if progressive rock isn't your particular style, you'll be amazed at what you hear on this CD.
Free Music Review: Still Dream Theater in the deep Hit: 5 Stars
First, I am a devoted fan of the band so I may not be as much impartial as I would want to. Still, I think that it is a very good album. Like I read from other review, it is what "Train of Thought" should have been. It is different from other Dream theater albums and definitevely more heavier, but it keeps that prog vibe on the deep. Particularly, I prefer the more prog-melodic style of "Images and Words" and "Scenes From a Memory" and I hope the next album to be a "Metropolis part III", but I still think that "Systematic Chaos" is a very well developed album.
Free Music Review: Another Amazing Album from Dream Theater Hit: 5 Stars
What can I say? It's Dream Theater! These guys are the most amazing musicians on the planet and the songs are incredible. I own all the Dream Theater CDs and this is another great one to add to their discography. My favorite song on the CD is "Forsaken". But I love the whole CD. If you're a Dream Theater fan (and if you're not, you should be), then you'll really like this CD. I bought the one that has the version included that is recorded in 5.1 surround sound. Cool!
Buy it! It's great stuff! John Petrucci is "da' man!"
Free Music Review: A systematic and progressive metal Hit: 5 Stars
An excellent album, is a combination of heavy metal during the first half and melodic/progressive in the second half, just like Dream Theater does. I really like it.
The DVD shows the making of the album.........is like a "reality show" of the entire album, very interesting. There are interviews to the members, some funny things during the recording and technical info of the recording process.
In addition, I live in Chile and I did not have any problem with the payment and the arrival date.
Free Music Review: A MUST for DREAM THEATER listeners Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not going to write some irrelevent dissection of this cd or the band. Everyone seems to have thier own criteria for how Dream Theater should sound. This cd has a lot of great music on it. If you liked Scenes of a Memory, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, Train of Thought, or Octavarium, then you will like this cd. If you are stuck on Images and Words, which was LAME, then you probably won't like it as much. Systematic Chaos is really cool! You won't regret picking this one up for your collection!
