The Dropkick Murphy's rock with this hard hitting at times mellodic album of solid tunes. From Barroom Heroes to Finnegans Wake these Boston punks can take you from testosterone pumping highs to chillin with a nice warm pint of ale. The bagpipes and pub feel is an added plus to fans of Irish decent. I love the Dropkick Murphys, and I will attend any show when they're in my area, but Mike McColgan(original singer) was a MUCH better "front man" than Al Barr(current singer). He had a much more powerful voice, besides Mike was Irish, Al is Scottish. Anyway, this album is amazing, also try the "singles collection" to get the rest of the tracks when Mike was still the lead vocalist.Free Music Review: Of the Streets Boston Irish Punk Rock Pride

This exellent piece of of Punk Rock relates personally with the working classes of America and Europe. Oi Punk/Skinhead pride is released in true fashion with strong Irish roots that have been neglected in Punk Rock since its beginning. Cuts using bagpipes and tin whistles make for a great mix with exellent backround vocals that'l be sure to lick the spit of yer porter!Free Music Review: Your Heart's Blood

Do or Die is one of those rare albums that will always be near your CD player. There isn't a bad song on it, and the best songs bubble in your brain until you search out new DKM tracks. The record is as essential and natural as working boots and blue jeans, and it is spiced by Dropkick Murphys' pride, dignity, and rowdy embrace of life. I bought this CD two years ago just as an impulse. I must say that I've never regretted buying this album. I now own every DKM CD and I have to tell you in all honesty that this is definitely their best effort. Not to say that their other albums are sub-par, but this album is absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend picking up this CD if you've got the time.
