Free Music Notes for Live on St. Patrick's Day from Boston, MA at the Avalon BallroomFree Music Review: Dropkick Murphys Live on St. Paddy's Day Hit: 5 Stars
If you're a fan of DKM and you've never seen them live, then this CD is a must have. If you have seen them live, you should buy it as well so you can re-live the experience! Nothing compares to the unbridled fun and mayhem that takes place at one of their shows. Yes, there is the obligitory mosh pit. Yes there are scary "neck tattoo" hooligans, and yet for all the energy contained in the small venues they play, it's not dangerous - it's FUN!! This recording is just one of the 4 St. Paddy's Day weekend performances they play annually in Boston for the hometown faithful. The band interacts with the audience, Reverend Casey officiates at an onstage wedding and the Boston Police drum/bagpipe corps start the show with a mini parade. Long live the Good Rats!
Free Music Review: Great Live CD Hit: 5 Stars
Before releasing their latest effort, "Blackout", Dropkick Murphys gave their fans a treat with this excellent live album. It features the best 25 songs taken from their three sold out St. Patrick's Day shows in Boston. All the classics are here, such as "The Gang's All Here", "Road Of The Righteous", "Rocky Road To Dublin", and "Finnegan's Wake", among many others. The album is even more enjoyable if your a big DKM fan, because you can sing along like you're there, and to a certain extent, it actually feels like you are. This is one of the best live CDs I've ever heard, and I strongly reccomend it.
Free Music Review: A great show and a great CD Hit: 5 Stars
The Dropkick Murphys concert on St. Patricks Day was absolutely nuts. It was probably one of the top 3 shows I've ever seen. Every song they did was great and the crowd was extreme for the whole show. Hearing these songs again is incredible and makes me remember one of the best shows I've ever seen. The CD has every song that I can remember from the show. Songs like Barroom Hero and Upstarts and Broken Hearts are absolutely classic. If you only buy one live CD, get this one.

Free Music Review: A Party Everytime Hit: 5 Stars
The band always says that their shows are more parties than concerts and this is what this CD is all about. You can hear the pure energy from the crowd, and as said before not as good as actually being there, but it comes pretty close. The St. Patrick's Day show was awesome, therefore the CD is awesome. And in 2003, the DVD will be awesome. Don't be afraid to buy this CD, it is amazing.
