The Dropkick Murphys deliver on so many levels in this album. Their musicianship is absolutely top-notch throughout, but it is the range of emotionally searing topics that they have put together that reach out and shake you in this masterwork. Their own musical writing skills are considerable, but what is even more amazing is the treatment they have given to the poetry of Woody Guthrie, Eric Bogle and Brendan Beehan. Anyone with even the most remote trace of Celtic blood coursing in their veins (and modern geneticist say that is quite a few of us!) will not be able to resist the wild and hypnotic effects of "Shipping Off to Boston" - that must be why Scorsese chose it for "The Departed".Free Music Review: A Must Have!

I was a little unfamiliar with the Dropkick Murphy's, except for a soundtrack clip from a recent film, and was uncertain with what I would get. Amazons website allows the buyer the ability to listen to clips from each track and I liked what I heard. After I got the CD, liked wasn't the word anymore. Love is the new word and "The Warriors Code" album has become a big favorite of my wife and two children. "Letters Home" hits close to any veteran's heart. In my book "Wicked Sensitive Crew" should be a classic. I highly recommend this album to all you "seriously sensitive dudes!"Free Music Review: Amped

I kinda feel like brawling when I listen to this album. I can definitely picture these guys getting into scraps with opposing team fans or other bands. Awesome!
The bagpipes are rock solid - perfectly in tune and very professional. In fact, everything is tight and clean and professional, which is not something you always get with punk rock flavors. The lead singer's voice is awfully raspy, which I tire of sometimes, but that's his voice so you have to deal.
More than anything, the album screams of passion and life.

first time i listened to this albume i was like "what the heck?!" cuz that was the first time i ever listened to DKMs.
sound of bagpipes was cool but it somehow did not go well with the voice and drums. it seemed like a strange combination. had to come to track 14 to start liking it.
at second go, i started loving the songs in their whole (music+voice+lyrics). strangest thing this music and how it "turned me"!
i love the lyrics, they are intelligent and funny, engaged at times.

I recently purchased this CD at a Warped Tour concert, not hearing a single song... Something I don't usually do... I am a fan of the Murphys but some of their other CD's didn't quite do it for me... This CD is AWESOME!!!! Every single track is a knock out... And I got it for only $10 bucks and got the group to sign it right then and there... what an extra bonus... Go out and get this CD!!!! It is the best of their CD's yet!!! Loved how they incorporated the bagpipes!
